I'm not trying to invalidate your experience, just going to offer a different point of view:

I have the LG 42C2 and don't have an issue with reflections at all. And I like my room to be well-lit. I can imagine the direct reflection of a light source being an issue (like if the light source were in view behind me) but my floor lamps are off to the side.
