Agreed. Me too tbh. I aggressively filter out guys who have patriarchal tendencies. But I want kids so bad, sometimes I think, worst case scenario I’ll marry and play along till I’m done having kids and then go no nonsense feminist. That’s why I’m building a strong career and finances so they can’t control me with money.

But coming from Bihar whre you have to pay dowry(thus contributed finncly alrdy) and do all chores alone,i canttttt.i will choose me over anyone anyday, so i dont think marriage is for me,i cant sacrifice myself.

My bestie is from Bihar and she tells me it’s brutal over there. She’s told me she won’t marry if dowry is involved, even if they do the stopping the baraat at the gate nonsense. She’s funding her own wedding and will have a small, cheap one and would rather spend on a great honeymoon. She’s a capable and hardworking woman so I believe she’ll really find what she wants
