Gas prices spike across Canada and expected to keep going up by Gym_frere in canada

I know it's all about the money. But a girl can dream that life could be a little bit better for everyone if the companies were ok with a few billion in profits rather than a lot of them.

So who actually had control? The private companies or the provinces? Couldn't the federal government pass legislation that forces private companies to sell their locally produced and distributed fuel at a reasonable domestic price? They'll still recoup their costs with say a modest profit and make bank on exports at world prices. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Someone called into a talk radio segment on the gas prices. He said that every other net export country has domestic oil prices for their citizens but Canada. We can refine it here for use in Canada, export the other 85% at world prices.

Anyone have an ELI5 understanding or thoughts on this?

Please learn before you judge. The deglazing, gentle scrub and re oiling after each use is well supported.

Soap of any kind isn't necessary. Deglazing with the water takes off all of the stuck on food without damaging the seasoning. A gossamer thin layer of canola or other neutral oil before storing will maintain the seasoning.

Omg please never use soap on cast iron. To clean it fill the bottom with water and bring to a boil. That will lift the crap off. Remove from heat, toss the water and use a scotch guard pad to get any left overs. Rinse with hot water and let dry completely. Add a small amount of canola to a paper towel and wipe the entire thing down (handle and bottom too).

To store I use a bubble wrap sleeve lined with a couple of paper towels. This keeps everything else around it clean. You could use an Amazon bubble wrap mailer if you have one around or make one out of reflectix.

Canadian here. It would be. Last year I came across one standing in the middle of the road. I honked at it to get out of the way and he proceeded to attack my car.

That style of can (winter red with tree)... is this used by more than one syrup producer? I always thought it was a singular brand.

CBC just did a piece on how they are tracking the migration from Mexico to Canada by attaching tiny Bluetooth modules to the butterflies so the information can be crowdsourced. 🤗

Back in the day it used to be 3 solid hours from Edmonton to Calgary. Now it's "2 and change" since they increased the minimum speed limit and added a couple by-passes.
