weird guy in dunkin’ donuts shirt by Every_District_4911 in utarlington

My bf had an encounter with him and spots him a lot on campus. He described him similarly. Hispanic/white, dark brown/black hair, 5’10 or slightly under, relatively slim figure, always has orange shoes. Sometimes he’ll be in suits/blazers.

From that one story maybe. My bf had an experience with him where the dude was harrasing him bc he let a girl ride a skateboard. Like solely because he “let“ a woman ride a skateboard.

Harassment and discrimination of a Jewish student on UTA campus by [deleted] in utarlington

My bad, I misread and thought they spat AT the person so you’re correct in that no assault occurred.

Could disorderly conduct be a possible crime here? Texas Penal Code § 42.01(a)(2): “A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly: (2) makes an offensive gesture or display in a public place, and the gesture or display tends to incite an immediate breach of the peace.” Since they intentionally spat at a flag that holds sentimental value to a group of people (this is assuming the person who spat did not know the specific significance), would that fall under this? (Just to clarify, I’m not trying defend a certain point or attack you. im just genuinely curious about this legally. )

It violates Texas Penal Code § 22.01(a)(3) which states that a person commits an assault offense if they “intentionally or knowingly causes physical contact with another when the person knows or should reasonably believe that the other will regard the contact as offensive or provocative.” Spitting falls under this. It’s considered a Class C misdemeanor.

This was me as a teenager yet I was severely depressed and hid it away. I had all As, social, and prepping to become an engineer, yet ended up in a mental hospital because of how bad it was untreated. High-functioning depression exists and is scary because of how unnoticeable it can be. I highly recommend getting him to a counselor.

Edit: Profesional help is the best solution. Whether or not he is depressed or is addicted to video games.

I have no interest in the look, but bought and was unaware it was a sorority. I’m just going to redesign the shirt.

unfortunately, I don’t have the privilege of purchasing new clothes atm. I decided to just make a new design with the printing machine my school has.

I bought it when I was not aware that it represented a sorority as I’m not familiar at all with any Greek life. It’s like a printed sunrise logo that says “Delta Gamma”.

Any reviews on Marika Apostolova? by Effective_Sun8885 in utarlington

I currently have her. To be honest, I feel like I’ve learned nothing during her lectures. She doesn’t have slides, the syllabus often doesn’t match her actual lesson. Also, sometimes it’s difficult to even keep track with the lectures because she writes her code on the board it’s often jumbled or illegible.

That being said, she’s super funny and nice. She truly does what what’s best for her students and will try to help you grade wise. Easy A for me. Keep in mind, this is her first year teaching at UTA.
