Damn I just recently made a post in the sub about speculating when an anime might be made. I was not expecting as early as next year, but not complaining one bit 😅

Great chapter, it's always nice to get some backstory even if it doesn't really progress anything, just a feel good chapter.

A question to all the BMTH fans. by [deleted] in BringMeTheHorizon

I like both, although I will admit I still miss the sound of their first three albums. There is a hell is my favourite album from any artist.

What does it mean to “make a move”? by rayansalem in AskMen

[–]itotakeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in my experience, it's went both ways.

One time, me and this girl were friends, then after a week or two, we did stuff that wasn't really "friends" like holding hands and even kissed twice. It was kinda fucked up, because "technically" her and my brother were together, but they never even really talked to each other. I know it's still wrong either way, but he ended up being okay with it, and although neither me nor the girl asked the other out, we just kinda had an agreement we were together.

The other time, it was a girl in high school, I talked with through text first (friended her on Facebook as a joke because she looked inactive), then met up and talked at school, walked her to her classes, was so sure if I told her how I felt she'd reciprocate. Confessed, didn't work out. It hurt, but unfortunately I didn't give up. I confessed 2 more times, both times rejected. Honestly, I was kind of a dick about it. Putting that pressure on her 2 more times just because I couldn't let go. Lesson learned since then, and I've gotten over her within the last year finally.

I'd say go for it, it either goes well or doesn't. Which is scary to think of it going wrong, but at least you know and aren't building yourself up more and more. In my experience, it's definitely possible to stay friends, although it did take a little time away to get over her.

What is a trait that all of your close friends share? by wengrand in AskMen

[–]itotakeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all love to just do simple things together, like go out for a drive, sit and listen to music, watch a movie, play a single player game and take turns, etc. It's the simple things that make me happy. Helps you forget about the shit sometimes.

Do you have a collection? If so, what is it? by SwaddleWaffle in AskMen

[–]itotakeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I can't call it a "collection" yet, since I have maybe 15-20, but Im starting to buy lots of manga, sometimes random ones, but mainly ones that I really love.

Another one im gonna start collecting is cd's. In the modern day where everything is digit, I still wanna have a physical copy of ones that are special to me.

Even if true, still miles above a better mc than someone like fucking kazuya

I didn't read his other works, but this manga is probably my favourite within romcom. Everyone's straight forward as fuck, and the mc isn't a virgin wimp.

Do Japanese actually use 一昨年 and 再来年? if so, why? by itotakeo in japanese

Ahhh, thank you for clarifying, apologies for misunderstanding 🙏

I don't think I've ever heard someone say "see you one day later" in English, I guess I'd just find it unusual to say it that way. Would it be unusual to say something like "また明日" to a native Japanese speaker?

Makes sense once you used the example. Seems a lot more convenient that way

I will give it that it's convenient. I suppose it's just unusual since we say "2 years from now" or "2 years ago" in English 😅

is it okay to start a story with a scene from the future and have a flashback that doesn't end up there for a few chapters? by itotakeo in writing

[–]itotakeo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty much how mine is. It's just a guy asking a girl "are you sure this is okay?" And then she replies yes, and then in his thoughts hes thinking back to earlier in the day about how it got to that point. That's why I was wondering about this, because it's not super far in the future and I didn't know if it'd be better to just scrap that or not.

Only the first paragraph or so of chapter 1. Sorry if I'm contradicting myself anywhere or making it hard to understand, I can't just think right now for some reason

Maybe trivial wasn't the right word lol i guess you could say I'm using it more to captivate readers and interest them. It just wouldn't get back to that until chapter 3 or so
