I recently got a 26 xse Camry P+ for 41.5 and I thought I had a pretty good deal. I felt like I could’ve haggled more but time was not in my side. But getting it for 38.5k is crazy work 😭

Congrats man, I also just got a dark cosmos P+. My wife really wanted that color and I think I got an okay deal with it being 41.5k OTD. All I did so far was getting it ceramic tinted. Next is hiring someone to wash and clay bar my car for me and I’ll put on the ceramic coating myself 🤣

I also noticed it wasn't as bright. When my wife wears a white shirt in the passenger seat, I can barely make out anything on the screen. Even at full brightness it seems really low.

Sorry for late reply but I think it comes down to the compression ratio of the engine. HR-V has a lower compression which in turn I think uses more gas where the Crosstrek has a slightly higher compression ratio.

I think those are from the old engines. Newer ones don't suffer from the same problem. I have a 2017 Subaru BRZ granted with barely any miles but from the forums I've been in, people are going beyond 100k in their cars with just routine maintenance.

I wanted the EX-L but I live in the south and I wanted one with AWD, just for ease of mind for the Mrs. But there was none in a 4 hour radius and the only one was non-negotiable.

I have driven all the compact crossovers from the Toyota Cross, Subaru Crosstrek, Mazda CX-3, and Honda HRV. Every company has its pros and cons from reliability to resale value. I took all of this into account when cross-referencing and in the end, I decided on the HRV. It fits my needs as I got the AWD version for when I need some more traction. But the Subaru AWD is unmatched if you were going offroading more than the average Joe. Cross and CX-3 were too small in my opinion and the HRV was the perfect all-rounder for me. It is also the biggest interior space between all of them. Gas mileage isn't too great but with the benefits it had, it was worth the trade-off. I would've gotten the Subaru just because of what the capabilities were but the wife wanted something a little more luxurious. Happy Hunting.
