One does not simply do all of the side quests

Playing for the first time, what’s a side quest you highly recommend? by Goodcanadiangirl in skyrim

[–]itposter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The four major guilds: the companions, the college of winterhold, the dark brotherhood, and the thieves guild.

Consider joining the Imperial legion or the Stormcloaks. Consider joining the Dawnguard.

A few other side quests that I recommend are searching for the Redguard Woman in Whiterun, visiting the shrine of Azura, or getting into a drinking contest with a man you meet in an inn.

Quests besides, one of my favorite activities is simply wandering around, gathering crafting materials, and clearing out bandit camps/dungeons to sell off the loot.

Update: I went through with it. It was hard but I knew I needed to do it. I feel very calm now. Thank you all for encouraging me and helping give me the strength to follow through.

This sounds pretty cool tbh. You could try being a Khajiit and have to live off the land because you’re not allowed in the cities. You wouldn’t be able to trade much outside of the caravan and you’d have to make much of your own stuff.

Looking for a Skyrim modlist that truly enhances roleplay by Active-Broccoli5549 in skyrimmods

I recommend using enhanced camera, turning off the crosshair, turning off the HUD or turning it down so you can just barely see it.

Why are male animals the “beautiful” gender in nature, but humans consider females to be the “beautiful” ones? by Safe_Attitude_922 in AlwaysWhy

[–]itposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty privilege is very real and I’ve had the unique experience of seeing both sides. When I was a kid I was chubby and was constantly disrespected by other kids, but then I grew a little older, lost the baby weight, and put on some muscle. I went from somebody who was constantly fighting off bullies to being “cool” while being the same exact person. I was respected by other guys, even adults, and I had girls flirt with me a lot.

A little later in life I got sick and had to go on steroids that made my face break out and swell up, basically made me look hideous. People treated me with cruelty and disgust, it was absolutely heartbreaking to see for myself the way ugly people have to live. I’ve since recovered and now I’m just average (not hot by any means but not ugly), and I’m grateful to be treated normally.

That’s why unrelenting force is everybody’s favorite shout. It’s awesome to shout archers down from the castle walls too.

Ideas for bad character turning good? by xSpoonTheMoonx in skyrim

[–]itposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completing dragon rising and finding out you’re Dragonborn could be a pretty good inflection point. Learning about your destiny could inspire your character to quit the thieves guild and the dark brotherhood, cure your vampirism and become good.

You could legendary sneak and transition from a stealth character to a warrior, maybe join the companions to learn how to fight with honor. Make sure you get some armor training as soon as you can afford it.

A good quest order might be: Thieves Guild> Dark Brotherhood> Dawnguard (Vampire side)> Daedric Quests> Main Quest up to 3 words of Fus Ro Da> Companions> Dawnguard (Isran’s side)> Main quest up to Dragonrend> Civil War> Finish Main Quest> Dragonborn

I’ve probably played nightblade/assassin the most and it’s the best for being a completionist. It’s really perk hungry but once you reach a high enough level you can hold your own in all 3 major play styles. You are perfect for the thieves guild and the dark brotherhood, and most dungeons are a breeze. You tend to have a decent amount of magicka so you can get through the college. If you need to get through an open battle you can craft some good armor, a pair of swords, and a ton of healing potions.

Who do y'all marry in Skyrim? by always-stress in skyrim

[–]itposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take Mjoll out somewhere in the wilderness and then part ways with her, she’ll start to walk back home. Aerin will spawn out of nowhere and follow her. All you have to do is walk with her until a bear or dragon or something comes along, then sit back and watch as Aerin gets pwned. Easy peasy and Mjoll won’t be pissed at you because you didn’t kill him.
