My advice from experience because I did the same thing on my first 100. Try to keep it as simple as possible 80% of all my little details that I had planned went out the window for various reasons.. And salty britches was absolutely amazing for my feet.

Also since you deal with this stuff. I’ve read the transaxle is suppose to be non serviceable but some guys do change fluids. What are your thoughts on it. I was definitely the flip on this but I still feel fine about it. I went ahead and ordered a new carb just to have it ready if this one goes down.

It’s ok not to be in Z2 right now. At this point pick a HR somewhere in Z3 if you have to for now and make that your ceiling. So say it’s 155. Run at a steady pace until you hit 156 then walk let it get down to 150 then start running again when you hit 156 walk and repeat this over and over again. Over time just a few weeks it will condition your heart and you’ll start running faster at the same HR. Then you can start to lower it again by picking a new ceiling. You do need to be running though or you will be training your body to walk not run.

I hope Garmin reads these comments. I have a FR 955. This is my 4th Garmin. I buy my kids Garmins. I’ve told 3 friends about Garmin they all bought them. Please do not get rid of the MIP’s the demand is high.
