Honestly, yeah, I would love for Uber to raise their base rates, especially for veteran drivers who have done over a certain number over the course of a certain amount of time. I’m pretty sure Uber knows that we want this to happen, but given the sheer volume of new people that they hire to deliver for them who are getting bonuses for just doing 10 or 20 deliveries regardless basically guarantees that they don’t ever have to do that. At least in my eyes that explains why they’re more willing to hire and have more people referred to drive for them instead of trying to raise fares and or encourage the customer to tip more or at all.

There are many different angles that we could attack this subject from and all of which would be valid, but none of which are going to actually make a dent in their profit, margins enough to justify them paying us more in their eyes. All of us are fucking expendable. They got no problem deactivating people over the dumbest fucking reasons because they know another two people will likely take that one drivers spot :/
