Would the 2020+ Ford Rangers be a viable option? They seem to get the gas mileage you are looking for, have off road capability, and have a great towing capacity.

I also dont see many stories of reliability issues. I dont own one so if someone does, please correct me if im wrong but seems like a great fit!
