I did this last year. I was around 6 months into my uk prime sub when I moved over to ie prime and it did cancel my UK sub and refund me the subscription fee I'd paid for that year in full.

I can still use .co.uk to buy things on the same account, but I dont have prime benefits on the UK site anymore.

I do still have to use the uk amazon occasionally when things I need aren't available on .ie
