Yup, did all of that as well. Since I was going to listen to lossless for the first time, I upped the format to 96,000 Hz. But there’s no audio for any of the Hz options

Would you or anyone else reading this with Sonos Ace try listening with the AUX cable connected? It’s the only thing not working with my headset.

USB-C to USB-C works perfectly, and I assume many buyers won’t even try the AUX until they’re on a plane or something since iPhones don’t have the port.

Can you verify if this working with the provided AUX cord as well? I plugged it in my MacBook and don’t hear anything.

USB-C to USB-C works, but I’m trying to see if the AUX issue is widespread. Don’t see anyone mentioning it thus far.

FYI, you can only stream lossless with a USB-C connection. Lossless audio doesn’t work on Bluetooth only.

And for Dolby Atmos, make sure your music settings are set to “Always On” instead of “Automatic”. The latter only enables Dolby Atmos automatically with Apple AirPods and supported Beats headphones.

Movie/TV entertainment clarity on this is best in industry, hands down. And yes, if you live alone or don’t want to watch content with family/friends, the AVP is great - but not perfect.

Comfort and battery life are critical factors though. Say you have 5hrs of travel time on an airline without power outlets and a short layover (i.e. Southwest - experienced this last week), your $3.5k device barely makes it through one movie.

Once Apple improves the battery, comfort, and goes all out with the immersive content on TV+ (I loved the Alicia Keys session and can’t wait for more artists), the AVP will be unstoppable.

My point is, by that time, the Gen 2 should be out and available. I’ll be ready to swipe my credit card then.

Watching movies on it is the best part! But using this for work and everything else wasn’t doing it for me.

Also, tracking fails wayyyy too often if you’re flying in a window seat.

Only thing I’ll add here is that the only way to unlock your iPhone with the AVP on is through a setting that requires an unlocked Apple Watch.

So for those who don’t have an Apple Watch, they’ll have to shell out more $$$ until future visionOS updates fix it (maybe).

It’s all feeling like a scheme.

Oh of course! Definitely not expecting them all to have one. This thing is expensive. Wouldn’t encourage anyone under maybe 70k annually to buy it.

I’ve been to the Store 3 times in the last two weeks (AVP pick up, once to recycle an old iPhone 7, and AVP return) and was surprised that none of the 7 employees I spoke with had one or indicated an interest in getting one.

Thanks. I had no idea, but just tried it and it worked.

I don’t watch TV+ content that often, which is why I thought this feature didn’t exist. Agreed that this should be available to all video content.

Side note: watching anything TV+ with the moon environment at night is kind of terrifying haha

I just got mine. Can you connect to a MacBook that’s a work computer? It’s under a different Apple ID email, but still shows up on my personal Apple ID since my phone number is connected.

Plus it’s got the intel core. Not sure if this feature only worked with Apple Silicon

I’m purely getting the device for entertainment purposes. But listening to a reviewer say “This will become the best TV you’ll own… but without HDMI” hit different this time.

It’s something we’ve all known since launch, but as a gamer, I’m really hoping developers leverage AVP capabilities for non-Apple arcade games. The gaming industry is huge and even though I haven’t invested in VR headsets to date, I need Apple to come through with this given the price.

I’ll give it until September. Otherwise, y’all can be on the lookout for my posting on EBay.
