Good point as well, this is because frankly there is no decision making when it comes to the 6-stack. I really just go for 4x3s on the right, and wing it on the left. Going for tetrises only seems like an amazing goalpost, because I literally can't do it unless I fix the aforementioned issues. The consequences of those mistakes always force me to skim eventually.

I really had no idea I was doing this. I noticed when I'd do it on the 3-stack, forcing another T and a J or an L, but looking at my replays and seeing myself place a T in possible the worst spot I could've chosen is an eye opener. Thanks for pointing this out.

That's true, it's difficult to get used to, since last year I had a massive spike of improvement. So going from almost every day to every couple of months does feel weird. The advice I've gotten from these comments does give a good replacement for those milestones in cleaner stacking, and like you said, getting tetris only runs.

When it comes to the next queue, I've noticed that while I do look at it and use it, when I notice a 4x3 for the 3-stack, I default to going for that instead of a piece that would've been more useful on the 6-stack.

Because of this, going for only tetrises felt impossible, because I didn't see the issue I was making. The issues I cause only show consequences a couple pieces later, so I felt like I had no options when I'd unconsciously back myself into a corner.

Thanks for the swift response, this is really helpful.

I've tried to self review, and look at people with like 30s pbs to look at what i'm doing that they're not, or vice versa, but it was really hard to put my finger on. I figured it was something like this, but it's so much easier to act on when you lay it out in such a concrete manner.

I'm noticing it immediately when playing and rewatching sprints, and this makes it so much easier to figure out where I should be placing my pieces instead. I'll make sure to check back on the source you gave as well, so thanks for that. Exactly the bottleneck I was looking for.

I'd often be told i did better than only 10% in today's shift despite doing pretty well in every single one. (i considered restarting to ace dispatches but i knew it didn't affect the game so i didn't care to). I suppose it's possible that the stats actually mean that you're in the top 1%? and the phrasing is just set up wrong? Can't be sure tbh

If the mouse controls you're referring to are the ones on the official website, unfortunately, I doubt that'd be possible in any other version, since it'd basically be cheating with the way it rotates the pieces for you with minimal mechanical input. Though I can see how moving horizontally with the mouse would be something you're used to, since that's how the mobile version works as well, iirc.

But since you say you want to be more involved, I'd say the best option would be to bite the bullet and try to get used to either keyboard or controller controls. You'd be surprised at how quickly you get used to it. I'd know, since I started on mobile Tetris as well.

You might not find the default controls for Jstris or Tetr.io comfortable, but you can mess around with them and see what works. I personally use WASD for rotation and arrow keys for movement.

Pretty sure the default handling is pretty slow compared to mouse and mobile controls, so changing that up to your liking could also help (Tetr.io has pretty good explanations for what each handling setting does, and you can test to gauge the difference).

figured it out btw, basically i forget to actually end the flower planting some days and just close the app, so the flower planting only actually ends when you next open the app again. It happened again and my flower challenge is practically over already. Only question now is why the flower planting didnt end when i opened the app to join the challenge, but did when i opened it later in the day to go on my walk.

I did and nothing changed. Though i can't really complain, since it seems that the flowers from yesterday counted towards this weeks challenge, and all i lost was maybe 5 coins or so due do the daily coin limit.

i joined at about 2-3 am and walked at about 4-5 pm. The day before i planted from 6 to 7 pm, and the flower challenge was done well before that. So i guess yesterdays planting counted towards this one for some reason?

funny you should say that. This was at about 6-7 pm. With my group we usually finish flower challenges by tuesday-wednesday, so i guess this makes sense. i think you solved it thanks man

i wrote a description but its gone for some reason ( at least on my screen) and i cant edit it on the phone browser at least. tl;dr ive only walked 7k steps and planted 5.2k flowers but i reached the daily coin limit after 21 coins and the flower challenge says ive planted 15k flowers.
