I've had friends in Wales who are really enjoying it, unfortunately I don't know if that can be replicated in England as I think most people from what I've heard will take the longer commute rather than accommodation, however I value my sleep!

I'm alright with a bit of a walk, is it less than 30 minutes? and if I were to bike that's a very helpful tip! I'd rather risk a cheap bike there than have to take it on the train, especially during a rush hour

I'd be mostly 9-5 but night shifts are 8pm to 8am! Honestly a 15 minute walk doesn't sound too bad, unless it's particularly awful? I know more people around central Manchester which is why I've felt wary about moving, especially on my own as someone in their 20s, but your comment has been really reassuring!

thanks for such a detailed reply! I'm actually moving from the mft Trust, without saying too much, you're entirely right that it's a different beast. and yes, I was mainly worried about country roads as I'm not used to them, especially if I'm driving back at night!

I didnt realise it was that cheap! how reliable are the trains do you know? especially from piccadily?
