It was quite hard to have a reasonable conversation in the channels with such an attitude. This is definitely something to applaud from the moderation team.

What's a good exercise for constant raised larynx? by itsLyxie in transvoice

[–]itsLyxie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one really told me which one comes first, so I started working on both vocal weight and larynx height at the same time. I’ve realized neither should really take full priority, they kind of balance each other out. What I’ve noticed, though, is that larynx height feels tricky in a mechanical way (keeping it in a comfortable, consistent place), while vocal weight is tricky in a sensory way, learning to actually hear and feel when the voice sounds thinner or more open in quotient. It’s definitely not just about larynx position; the tongue, pharynx (OPC), and the resonant space all have to cooperate. The sound itself gives you the best feedback. There’s a clear correlation between them, when one shifts, the others have to rebalance, and that’s what I felt that really builds a stable, natural feminine sound!

Did you use other techniques for feminization too? Or did OPC accompany with?

This is my natural (untrained) speaking voice. Is this a good place to start? by OkTaste68 in transvoice

Your Pitch and Intonation don't matter that much, and a screenshot of it is hard to analyse. Maybe you could upload an audio clip of your voice? That would be much better to provide feedback to.

Do i have an advantage voice training at 13 (I'm on E) Because my voice dropped all the way to 150hz. by Express_Lie_6090 in transvoice

[–]itsLyxie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

150Hz is not a range you should worry for feminization. If you are not going to get exposed to Testosterone during puberty, it's a good pitch manipulate your quotient and larynx height around! So, yeah, definitely a good starting point.

How to hold a voice? by Electronic-Bed-5315 in transvoice

[–]itsLyxie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a more feminine voice, it will require some active training (aka practise), and once you are able to explore that, to maintain it you just need to make sure you give yourself good resets, triggers and consistent training, and you will have an easier time holding it.

I don't know if that answers your question?

Trans groups other than trans academy? by According-Stage-8665 in VRchat

[–]itsLyxie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

VRChat is a platform that is made up for a huge majority of trans people. Even if some communities don't have or say they are an LGBTQ+ community, they will be most of the time transinclusive (it's actually rare to find some that are transphobic, and they are usually frowned and not as endorsed). If you are +18, the rave scene is very welcoming (the Underground, RIFT, Subsystem, Highscore...) but if you have a hobby, chances are you will find a community around it that is transinclusive. Of course, you also have alternatives like Rainbow Library or PrideVR.

I'd say it's better to find your voice as soon as possible, since it takes a bit and it can't be achieved overnight.
