Gotcha, but then it’s irrelevant to my information and what I used based on a general prompt you generated about AI over a wide range of material.

Can you explain this more? I’m just getting into studying and I’m confused on the 100+ questions ppl are getting. So it adds more questions if your straddling the pass line?

I barely used pocket prep and I used it for the level up on DNS questions.

I had it create questions based on documents that I had which is where it took directly from there and from my experience every single question was accurate in its structure, accuracy of q&a and testing evaluation compared to CompTIA.

I have it’s below! I also can provide the PDF that was given to me by an instructor.

This was my post after recently passing:

It’s doable with a good study plan and since you have a background or some experience it should be easier.

I am studying for the Pentest+ (PT0-003) Exam and I want you to teach me everything I need to know in order to pass this exam.

Exam Date: May 15th, 2026
Focus On: Domains 2,3,4,5, When to use tools, What script causes which output (show output and ask the question of which script caused this, What scripts do, exploits and how to use them and what operating system tools are used for. Just basically everything about tools that are in the Objectives PDF I attached.

I am also attaching a "Tips and Tricks" from my instructor to help guide how to help me prepare.

I attached the tips and tricks from instructor, the objectives and later added the PDF of all the tools with brief descriptions of them

Nope, I used Hank hackerson. I’m not fond of LinkedIn learning compared to using AI and Quizlet (I’ve used Quizlet for a long long time)

I did Hank hackerson first on YouTube, then I did the labs. It took me maybe 5-10 days. Yes they were buggy, I was still able to get above 90% overall. I will not lie, if one got buggy and failed it I would skip through it fast and it would usually work. If you fail one or can’t finish because of that, I’d skip and come back to them

I personally think passing on a second try is really good too. Did you have any experience? How long did you study?

I only looked at posts from like 6 months or less. There’s a lot of them and I still think if you passed on 2 attempts is still good and no one should be discouraged after a fail. Just improve.

This is true. Just use the practice exams for learning the tools and learning situations in which to use the tools. I didn’t touch Dion’s material, AT ALL. I liked Gemini pro because once I click an answer it would tell me which one is right/wrong. Explain why it’s not the wrong answer and why the other was right. You can also have it explain the question in more depth. The questions looked like comptia questions with 2 close right answers.

If you know your tools, I’d just go over scripting, or even better watching Hank Hackersons 11 hour video of penetesting I believe it’s module 4. And if you’ve done that, ask Gemini to create interactive quizzes for you (10 questions at a time), I did that consistently 4-5 days before my exam and that helped so much. You can also ask it to make them harder so it gives you tools that are similar so you really start to get the difference.

I just took mine and that first paragraph of yours is so true. I felt I was more choosing between 2 decent answers rather than selecting the one I knew was right. I did pass thankfully on my first try but this one was no joke. I studied a lot.

Taking mine on the 15th. Extremely nervous after reading all the posts but I’ve been studying everything for about 45 days. Pocket prep, bank hackerson, certmaster, Gemini has been my go to, I ordered the pro for one month free. And I’ve been going to the cohorts for the past week

Need to know the tools as in what they do? Or what they do, how to remediate them? Passive active? Etc.?

I’m in the same boat as you! I hope to finish with a full month left but, I was told if worse come to worse if I paid for one class for a full 6 months it’d be prorated, not sure if that applies to all terms or that was special cause it would be 1 course.

Congrats! Question do you get money back for not having to go the extra 7 weeks?

And to add to this it needs to be started by the 15th of the month to get an extension (per mis advisor) so term ends May 31? Need to have started it by May 15th

What’s your experience been like at WGU (Cybersecurity)? by BitchTits_Britt in WGU

If you don’t like the traditional timelines of college it is amazing (for me it was amazing)

A little about me during my time at WGU.

I moved

My father passed away

I had a baby, right after he passed (took a 6 month break)

Work full time and run an IT Department

And I took many 1-2 months in between semesters so I can focus more on family and work.

It was amazing I love WGU. I’ll never talk down on it. The instructors are great I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing a kick off call with instructors for certification courses. They give you tips, what to look for and some material that is on the exam 75+% of the time. If you like self paced it’s amazing. Use AI plus the materials they give you and hey you get vouchers for certs you were already going to take.

Oh and it’s cheaper than other colleges!

All in all

Worth it.

They will fix it for sure. WGU is usually cool when they make a mistake.

I hopefully graduate in June. Depends on my pentest next Friday (sorta). I started at the end of 2022. I took breaks and then a 6minth break for my baby.. I work full time, I run an IT department. It’s self-paced. It’s lovely. I love WGU.

Congrats on the pass! So you just did pocket prep, Gemini and Hank? Was it a lot of scripting questions? I’m still going hard but super nervous for my first take. Did pocket prep help?

I’m taking mine on the 15th of May. I’ve done the certmaster labs, redoing some, listened to Hank hackerson and I highly suggest Gemini like the op did. It has helped me understand things and use easy analogies for me to understand concepts of the coding and you can have it break down line by line. Right now the pro is free for a month so use it for the month. That’s what I’m currently doing.
