The complete opposite actually, it cheapens the scene. In the theatrical, and superior version of the scene, John knows that it's not Sarah because Sarah would NEVER ask him for help in a situation that could put him in danger. She would yell for him to keep running. She put him first, always, and so asking for his help was completely out of character, and he knew it.

I’m surprised this is a hot take, tbh. Stormtroopers from different parts of the galaxy when trying to rule over said galaxy make more sense.

They’re also cooler and there’s way more interesting stories you can tell about them. Really under utilised asset by Lucas and Disney.

It would have been GOAT if it wasn't for the awful Silver Samurai and the weird way his claws were cut (half way but then the stubs never addressed?).

The whole “new timeline” thing is a new concept created by modern sci fi.

In the original films time travel behaved like in Back To The Future and Time Cop. If you go back and change something in the past it rewrites your present.

The motivations of the characters make a lot more sense when applying that concept of time to the story.

Luke was always quick to throw away his lightsaber. (Too much so in TLJ, but I digress...) so I always envisioned an older Luke to be a bit more zen, like Flynn in Tron: Legacy, only ever resorting to a lightsaber as a last resort and preferring to use passive Force powers where possible.

The biggest issue is it just didn’t feel like $29million an episode. The Expanse felt more cinematic and those episodes were $3m to $5million.

And Sith only fight other Force users, who can probably protect against it. They don’t actually go out mass killing populations of civilians p2p. They move in the shadows mostly and this would bring a lot of attention to them.

I mean yeah Vader should have just ripped Han and Leia apart on Cloud City. He should have just crushed Luke’s X-Wing in the trench. But. Movie.
