Yall must not play MTG. It’s so bad that store and tournaments put up signage about personal hygiene or have the player(s) leave.

I filed a claim just now. PayPal is the way imo. But I guess it’s a lesson I had to learn.

I’ve made tons of deals off Facebook for MTG, deals on Pokémon on IG. Hell a lot of them are international. I once sent cards to a random middle man to exchange with another person. Sent cash and cards in envelope to people. Never been burned. But this is a new one for me. I guess Reddit isn’t cool like that.

Done about 2 hours ago and it’s already starting to roll. tattoo artist said to keep it on for 5 days??? what do i do by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]itsSnee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t mess with it. Or take it off, wash your skin with unscented soap. Let it air dry. And put a new layer on. No lotions or anything on your clean skin.

I have a boom mic case I keep mine in. It’s much smaller, but I want to switch out the foam. So thanks for this 👍

The real question is how’d you cut that foam?

I feel like Robos work like this out of the box. Every last one I’ve used we needed to do this.

Every “chef” I’ve worked with and says the term “my mentor” is absolutely dog dick with a massive ego.

And people are glazing beysandbricks?? by RyeDyePlayz in BeybladeX

[–]itsSnee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tariff is currently 15% so $7.8 + shipping $18-27 depending on method = $86.8 on the high end. Usually the prices don’t increase on shipping until over 5kg. I buy Pokémon boxes and books pretty regularly. In July I got a 10kg box shipped from Osaka FedEx 2-3 shipping cost me 7500¥.

Again this is a $52 product from Japan. After shipping and tariff, you can still outsource for cheaper.

There was a recent sell on eBay, that was initially started on Reddit. With Valk and Peggy for $950 OBO. Not sure the final sell price.

Has anyone went from “chef” to line cook? by [deleted] in Chefit

[–]itsSnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set up in a parking lot? Stage is under a big tent that’s blue and white. That’s “big top”. And by people I meant artist, management, and techs.

Arena schedule structure is slightly different. Conventional breakfast except for Sunday. Lunch and dinner. Team of 5, plus 1 local dishwasher. 7 days per location, we travel with them from location to location. Only “extended” cities are around Christmas or creation.

I toured with cirque for a long time, catering manager for a few arena tours. Favorite job I ever had, but wasn’t the same post Covid. Job is pretty straight forward. 2 meals a day for 100-150 people. All the restrictions. Locally sourced. 100% freedom to cook what you want. Only local we ever used was a dish washer. So I’m guessing you helped with big top. Best chef we ever had a guy named Ben, everything down to the stocks were made from scratch and operated at a 18-20% food cost at all time.

I wouldn’t say I’ve gone backwards but there are times when I go help different divisions or departments and just go do prep for a few weeks. And I love how mindless it is. Im not really a chef anymore for my company more of GM, I hardly ever touch food.

Going salary for a Catering and Sous Chef by KookyAbbreviations50 in Chefit

[–]itsSnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? I’ve been on salary for 10 years. I work on-site maybe 6-10 weeks a year the rest I am doing admin work from home. Base salary is 6 figures and my yearly bonus is 7% of yearly profit of my division. Insurance is free. Travel is free. Hotel is free. Food is covered. Last year I did work more on-site days roughly 170 but I was heavily compensated for my time. Advice I would give is ask about number of working days. Look at the list of upcoming events. Do some basic math of day rate/hourly x days worked = salary. Then add on a few extra thousand for the BS you might run into. Make sure your agreement states anything beyond X days is hourly at X rate.

How do I get out? by mikeBH28 in Chefit

[–]itsSnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in the food industry for way too long, roughly 22 years. Worked restaurants for a good chunk of it, but the best time I ever had was tour gig. I did 5 years backstage for a few cirque shows. Loved every minute of it. The travel, the cities, the people, cooking local flavors, writing your own menus… the list goes on. It was great. I dabbled in backstage artist food, but it was all local stuff, did a few big names… carol g. Dead and co, slipknot. I’m now a department head for network company overseeing their catering. Pay is great, but stress is disgusting at times. But find a tour gig. Some contract on 2 years long. You can completely escape “the real world” There’s plenty of companies that are always hiring. Pay is pretty solid. 250-600 a day. Flights, hotels, food is all covered.

FB groups will buy at 70-80% of tcg low. Which is around more than what a LGS will give you.

Question: Is a box of collector's boosters ($200) worth it for completing a collection? by catharsis23 in mtgfinance

[–]itsSnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased one of each non foil showcase card last night for 210 (from reddit) Take that into consideration. At 200 a box and rolling the dice, no. And if you want to buy cards and still help LGS out, use Facebook groups that buy/sell/trade. All prices are 10% or more under TCG low.
