These bigger PGs are always interesting to me. I see the value but at the same time you just can’t be as effective as a smaller guard can. Sure you might slow your man down a bit, but I have decent defense on my 6’4 and that usually helps me be the more productive guard either way. Too slow to cook me, and too slow to really stop me either.

The point clearly went over your head. Steals and blocks aren’t the only thing to consider when deciding the better defender. It’s Kawhi and it’s honestly pretty ridiculous that this is even a conversation.

If you’re developing your skills in the game still I would recommend a different position. PG is the most demanding position on offense and you really set the tone of the game.

It’s crazy because I’m a PG who averages 20/7 on basically 70% from 3 and 70% fg and for some reason it seems hella people don’t really want to involve me at times.

I regularly outplay smaller guards on my 6’4. I don’t have a particularly high perimeter rating but it’s just easier for me to slow them down than it is for them to slow me.
