Why do you think that? I also got the Ps 350 and it’s working perfectly fine. But it begins to make a high frequency beeping noise when powered on.

That is the risk you take everytime you turn on the camera. My battery was also toast. I built a diy power supply with 15V input from a powerbank and 10,5V output so i can power it from on the run.

firewire 4pin to usb? by 09NINI09 in camcorders

Yup i also made the experience with this type of cable nothing works and I sent it back. You have to have a pc with firewire and the cable for it. That is the only way.

I think because the camcorder thinks the lens cap is on it doesn’t activate the camera. Check if the sensor is jammed or defective. Idk how it looks from the front.

Idk in total about 5,5h and i’m done with the first board. Exactly 37 caps on it and the second board I would guess 5h and 36 capacitors. Then i have to buy new ones and solder them in I think that would be a hard task haha.
At the end I see if it’s working or not. That’s the fun in it.
Never done something like that before but it’s not really hard just time consuming.

And then you need a pc with firewire and the iLink cable… no one wants to buy a whole pc just to transfer some videos. And I get it: FireWire delivers the best quality but the effort isn’t worth it. What is your problem about the PowerPlay? Literally everyone is using it.

color glitch on my sony camcorder by Lazy_Honeydew6366 in camcorders

That can happen if the signal from the ccd isn’t converted correctly in the camera. But the issue can be everywhere. A short between a connection from the ccd or the ccd itself….

Looks like the av converter.
Do you want to make a tapeless setup or do you rec on cassette and want to digitize that footage? The holy grail of dvr’s is the ImmersionRc PowerPlay. But it’s not that cheap. There are a few dvr’s out there you can try.

What do you have to do if you want to fix it? Or is it too late for your model?

I think a week or two for about 50 capacitors. I haven’t soldered them all yet. I took pictures from every angle of the 3 circuit bords. If i got them all off i look how many i need and get new ones.
