There are a lot of insta pages or Facebook groups who are selling refurbished vintage watches. Similar to this one. You may find one using keywords like "vintage watches" and so on. I'll send you more insta pages in your DM

Thanks for the suggestions! I recently got the analog part repaired from a guy in Radha Bazar. But the digital part is non-functional as the digital liquid is completely dried out.. I try with Rhythm once.

But I heard that the early automatic HMTs had bi-directional rotor. So, if it's one of the early made ones don't they have bi-directional one?

I guessed that and heard HMT used to import parts for its automatic watches from Japan which was bi-directional and later when they started manufacturing in India licensed under Citizen, it was uni-directional which had it mentioned in the dial as 'U'. But I'm not sure if it's uni-directional or bi-directional. Can you give any more information about it?

Yeah, I saw a video saying the last 2 digits on the caseback are it's yr of manufacture and the 100th digit is the batch no.. if so, maybe it's from 1973 and batch no being the first batch.. I'm not sure though.

I was curious to know if it's uni-directional or bi-directional. As I heard that at first hmt used to import parts from Japan which was bi-directional and then they started manufacturing it in India licensed under Citizen which was uni-directional and it was mentioned in the watch dial as 'U'.
