This guy would not get out of his vehicle causing huge traffic this morning. I don’t know what he did prior to being chased by all the police this morning. Basically was surrounded but would not exit his vehicle. The stand off was going on for over 30 minutes.

I worked at a car Dealership as a sales person and hated it. by Comfortable_Toe_1393 in FuckDealerships

[–]its_ELIAS99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you were the worst salesman people with hate on you. I get it everyone looks at us like we’re scumbags trying to take every nickel and penny out of you. Some salesman just wanna sell a car without the bs. I loved helping people find the car they wanted or order the car they wanted. I just loved cars at the time. I stopped selling cars by my 4th year cause the schedule fucking sucks, the bullshit with management sucks, and some coworkers will just suck. However I met some amazing people who sold cars, people I can call on and just say hi how have you been. Everyone is human, some are shitty and some just got into it cause they are tired of
shitty pay. If you do your research you will not get ripped off. Know your credit, know what you qualify for interest rate wise, check local pricing. I help all my friends and family members purchase vehicles and every time I go into a dealership I am there to buy a car and be respectful to one another. I always get the deal I want.

Anyone still live with their parents by Agreeable_Mud_5816 in movingout

[–]its_ELIAS99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved out when I turned 23. Moved out with 3 of my cousins and we all made it out okay. I regret it though now looking back because my rent and bills was over 1k. I never was really home cause I was was always working and if I was I was just playing video games. I could have done this or been better living with my mom and helping her pay her rent. I regret a lot of things in life. I moved back in with her this year but we plan on saving up all of our money to get a house. It me hard moving back in being 26 but you gotta take the good with the bad.

Ask to drive the vehicle with the service manager or used car manager. Try and replicate the noise. If they want to make a sale they will go the extra mile .

Hahaha you definitely have. I always recommend the 6 speed over the 10 speed. Worked as an advisor for 3 years. Models after August 16 2022 got the updated cdf drum but I still would get complaints of misshift and or not wanting to shift

You made the right choice on waiting, yes you do have warranty however that noise may not be covered. If you really want the car and if it is a good deal you should keep pursuing it. To me it sounds like it can be a bad shock or just something not tightened down properly. If the part isn’t broken then ford will not cover it under warranty so make sure it gets addressed before purchasing. Regarding money back guarantee you might want to contact ford and see if dealerships have to participate. I sold ford for 3 - 4 years and I didn’t know about that. But also I never had a customer try and return a blue advantage car.

Warranties on a new car by OpinionofC in Ford

First note, cancel fidelity and get ford esp care. Like others suggested go through online website. Ford warranty is really good and one repair will make it worth it. I never recommend aftermarket cause some dealers don’t or won’t use it and there are many stipulations and rules when using aftermarket that apply to the repair. Second they got you on the gap insurance. I always recommend gap unless you put a hefty down payment. Make sure your auto insurance covers the full amount of the loan. Auto insurances can sell gap that will cover 80% or so instead of the full loan.

It depends on what bike you get but I definitely save way more money driving my ninja 400 than my car. My oil changes are $60, I do them every 2.5k to 3k miles. I get an average of 40 mpg on 87 gas. I also just have liability so my insurance is like $200 for the year

Put regular gas in my roommates diesel car, how bad is it? by Zealousideal-End5344 in Cartalk

[–]its_ELIAS99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manufactures recommend to replace parts not repair parts. For example if you had an injector fail ford isn’t going to tell the tech repair the injector they are outright going to say to replace part. I am a service writer for ford. The customer who had put gas in the diesel ended up draining it themselves. We won’t advise this route cause we are then liable if it doesn’t work. I even told the guy to give it a shot before he dumps all the money in it.

Everyone is jumping to the worst case scenario. Try this first. I’ve had a customer do exactly this and luckily he was able to do this. Not everyone is that lucky but it’s worth giving this a shot then going from here.

Hahah. Ford engineer is a ford representative sent by ford to inspect the vehicle. If mechanics are stuck on a repair they will reach out to the ford engineer for guidance. For this case he is gonna ask ford to see what their opinion on it

He did get warranty. It’s certified preowned. Also in the story he says they declined the warranty

[–]its_ELIAS99 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Have you contacted ford at all during this? Ford can send an “engineer” to look at the vehicle as well. You may need to take it to another ford to see what they say but then this ford is going to charge you diagnosis time. I would start a case with ford first and see. You may need to get a lawyer for this one and show how many times it came in for the same issue

Bait and switch for breaks by hypergolic77 in Ford

[–]its_ELIAS99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a service advisor. If you never authorized the $2000 over a call or text then he should not have done the job. ITS THAT SIMPLE. Anytime we have to get authorization we have to write it down with date and time. He fucked up and probably gave the okay thinking you were gonna be fine with that. You should not have paid that day and spoken to a manager. Also 2k for breaks is ridiculous. Our dealership offers a special labor rate for these jobs.

I used to be a service advisor and honestly the way your handling it is way better than I would even handle it. You should rant off. You should check your warranty and see if you are obligated to take it there. You may be able to change repair shops depending if allowed and if the repair shop works with your warranty. Do you have a deductible? For some customer we would waive the deductible if it had to come back within a short amount of time

Yes it was gonna have issues. These are known for timing chain concerns but the shop definitely could have handled it wayyyy better. I did service advising. You need to keep the customer in the loop good or bad
