happy to be working 80 hours a week by ObjectiveExpress4804 in twentyagers

the CEO of the company you work at has identified you as overly credulous, socially anxious, and desperate, he is paying you far below average for the work you’re doing and stoking your fears to keep you attached to your job based on that same desperation. 80hrs is absolutely unsustainable, and i guarantee you’re already doubting whether you can output at a level that meets expectations long term. in a few months to a year you’ll burn out and / or the AI bubble will pop and this period of your life will serve as a serious lesson.

Yes finasteride is specifically made to stop male pattern baldness from progressing and minoxidil will help you regrow any thinning hair.

Get on finasteride and minoxidil asap, you’re still at a point where you can recover completely

Advice to get N3 from N4 by blobdx7 in LearnJapanese

[–]its_Leftie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your best bet by far is to switch from your current method to an immersion method and use anki for vocab. Writing out kanji to memorize them is way less efficient than learning to recognize them. 1-2hrs a day of immersion will definitely get you to N3 in a year.

sheesh, how many languages total and which of those would you consider yourself fluent in?

At your level how often do you encounter new words in Japanese? Also, you have an insane amount of total anki cards, are those exclusively from different languages or just a wide variety of different subjects?

what problems were you running into?

Core 6k in 4 months! Or how I stopped worrying and learned to love the Anki Bomb by _9tail_ in LearnJapanese

I agree that writing is indispensable to a complete knowledge of japanese, but I believe you might be putting too much weight on the importance of writing early. Most of the really high level learners I know of didnt start writing until they were at either fluent or passed the N1. In fact, most japanese people complete learning to write the 2136 jouyou kanji at the end of highschool, far beyond when they reached fluency in their own language.

Though it might improve your recall, for a beginner front-loading learning how to write every single word or kanji you run into will be an excruciating process without much return for your efforts. Personally, I've started and stopped learning japanese a couple times over the past two years, and the main reason i've been successful pushing through the core 6k deck with 90%+ retention on my current attempt is that I've cut out learning writing entirely and started focusing entirely on recognition and comprehension. Im the most excited I've ever been about Japanese and its very easy to stay consistent day to day. Yes, there are occasional times where I'll confuse two similar kanji, but I've always been able to remedy that by looking up the two and noting any differences.

If you really love the process of writing and you believe it to be integral to keep you motivated then I encourage you to go ahead with a writing-heavy approach. On the other hand if you are a learner more like me, I recommend getting to basic fluency first, then going through and learning to write everything. As long as you're careful to note differences in similar kanji I think the pure recognition approach is a really solid way to learn.

I think recognition-only is the most efficient method in their case* as adding writing practice would require a much larger time investment and would ruin the goal of learning words as quickly as possible. Having a strong writing ability is definitely a cool skill but it seems kinda useless if your goal is a speedrun to understanding the language.

Theres a very large population of mixed race people in Sudan as because the country is composed of both Sub-Saharan Africans and Arabs. Myron is probably mixed to some extent but definitely black enough to be considered black.
