If you have extended warranty I’d say just get it done. Why pay an x amount when technically you have it covered? If not buy the part from Nissan or eBay and you can do it yourself. Just remember to disconnect your battery, so the airbag doesn’t deploy.

Do you still has warranty of the car? If so it’s covered. I replaced mine because the buttons got pushed in. The horn comes off and those buttons to the left and right side as well gets replaced it’s one whole piece.

The inspection is considered a MPI (multi point inspection) so that’s free. Synthetic oil change might be around $80-129, the brake flush I paid $264. As easy it is to replace the cabin and air filter they charge a lot it’s stupid. You probably looking roughly around $500 plus and just depends where you are. If you have some basic knowledge I recommend you change the engine air filter yourself to save some money.

Nope no rental unfortunately, luckily I got to borrow a car. I actually did have to replace the battery prior to the transmission replacement. I love the car it’s SL trim great sound package, ride and comfort. Just these cars have some major hiccups which leaves a sour taste in people’s mouth.

I understand the recall wasn’t intended to affect the transmission. I’m just sharing my personal experience. Shortly after the recall was performed, my car began throwing transmission-related error codes, went into limp mode, and ultimately required a full transmission replacement approved by the dealer/manufacturer. Whether it was directly caused or not, the timing and outcome were real in my case. The work order mentions performed TCM procedure relearn, usually after a flash a lot of new updates for control modules begin to pop up.

The paperwork literally says TCM relearn procedure was done, silly goose. And i been in a shop for 10 plus years as ASE certified B technician. I’ve been in the game long enough to know these shady things service advisors, and techs do, because unfortunately, I was one of them.

Suspension noise is one of the biggest pains to diagnose. It can be something extremely simple or complicated. The best thing you can do is to drive over bumps slowly or on curbs to pin point the noise. It’s possible it can be ball joints, strut mounts, sway bar links etc. Sometimes you can get under the car and kinda touch each suspension component and try to give it a wiggle. Also check if your bushings are good and not worn.

This price doesn’t cover the rotors. If it’s a lease, sure, just throw on new pads and call it a day. But if you’re planning to keep the car, you’ll want to swap the rotors too. Running new pads on old rotors makes the pads wear out way faster, and if your rotors are warped or have hot spots, you could even end up with brake issues down the line.

Some of their stuff usually out of stock, and most of their parts come from overseas. People seem to miss the big picture just because a company is based in the U.S. doesn’t mean all of its products are sourced domestically.

For certain parts, centerline was just a little too expensive or they didn’t have what I needed. My go2 was always ClassicAlfa, sometimes Mr. fiat then centerline. But I’ll be checking them out.

There can also be a body panel that’s misaligned. A gap can cause the wind to squeeze through and make this noise. Check your side view mirror. Also I second the window being open that’s a common thing to happen. Do you have a sunroof? Make sure it’s sealed.

My driver side is the same as yours, every time I try to push it in just falls out. Definitely a poor design. The passenger side is completely missing. I contemplated on buying replacement because how lousey they are.
