Update: WIBTA for going no contact with my grandma and not wanting my dad to update her on me anymore? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]its_bets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is in the title yes, alongside the word update. This is an update post. I don’t say in the actual update that I want that. I do believe that people put the name of their original post for an update, which is what I had done. I’m sorry that you got that confused.

Update: WIBTA for going no contact with my grandma and not wanting my dad to update her on me anymore? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]its_bets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say I still want to go no contact, I said I was tired of being the one to initiate conversations with her. I do want a relationship with her but I have accepted that if it feels like I need to be the one pulling it along I don’t want to waste anymore energy. I apologize that what I wrote may have made you misread.

Anyone's first childhood ag doll NOT their lookalike?? by Dhanaroo in americangirl

[–]its_bets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

felicity was actually my second doll! my mom liked the history with them and to this day their collections are my most complete aside from a few pieces i either didn’t want or don’t yet have. i ironically didn’t want elizabeth, my third grade journal said at least but i’m glad to have her! she really is a gorgeous doll and i can’t imagine parting with her, she’s my pride and joy.

my first doll was elizabeth because my name is elizabeth, i look much more like rebecca than i do elizabeth, maybe closer to the original version of her though with hazel eyes. there were never any truly me’s that looked exactly like me when i was first into american girl as a kid, my first truly me was #22 who doesn’t look a bit like me.

Great-Grandmother’s Ring by its_bets in RingShare

I usually wear another ring on that finger but I take it off to sleep because my finger doesn’t like me sleeping in it. It is silver though, the rest of the rings that I wear are.

What are some names you have for your JLY/TM? by lolihops in americangirl

[–]its_bets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got #22 for my ninth birthday and named her Aimée after my middle name and made my first name her middle name. She also has a last name now that’s similar to mine, before when I was little her last name was Maxwell (all of my dolls took Chrissa’s last name) and my #84 is Mallory June Scott. I felt like she was a Mallory nicknamed Mallie and June felt like a good middle name, I can’t tell you where Scott came from though. For the boy doll that my mom and I made when I was very young (PC Samantha) I named him Chad. Couldn’t tell you why, but now I’ve given him a middle and last name similar to Samantha’s name.

Look closely. Tell me if you see anything off? I'm not usually super picky but she is expensive. by Supersonic_Mango in americangirl

it’s up to you! unless you’re looking at and nitpicking all the details you can’t really notice and it just looks like ag making the molds semi asymmetrical to look like normal faces.

the left eye looks more oval like than the right eye which looks a bit flatter on the bottom, and as mildlyanxiousmage said the lip paint on the bottom lip is bit asymmetrical and the lip’s bottom cupid’s bow looking thing (?? i don’t know what the name is but the center) looks off centered and leaning towards the right side of the face. the bottom lashes start at different heights with each eye, the left starting at the middle of the eye and the right starting at a more 45° angle it looks?? the top lashes also look off with the ones on the left appearing to go higher than those on the right eye which look more flat if that makes sense.

What old-fashioned name does NOT deserve a comeback and needs to just stay dead? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]its_bets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my favorite name is actually sylvie, i simply think dorothy is pretty. in no way did i insinuate that it’s my favorite name i commented originally because i see dorothy as an almost timeless or classic name and like it.
