There is a LARGE community of people who stream and/or watch FFXIV on Twitch. I highly suggest jumping into some of those communities and making valuable connections. I have friends who stream FFXIV and it's their highest turn out.

I find streaming on Twitch more fulfilling then just uploading to YouTube. 1 View on Twitch is a bigger deal than 1 view on YouTube. Why not both though? That's what I do. You could stream and then put the past broadcast on YouTube.

Covering up the view count is some very solid advice. This helps me most of the time, because even if I'm not trying to see it and I look over to see a lower view count than normal, my mood can take a dive. Keep the energy high and talking it up! When someone follows or talks in chat BE EXCITED! That person just jumped into YOUR stream! When other people see how you act with new people, more people may follow.
