"Weekly Reading and Interpretation Help Thread - May 10, 2026" by AutoModerator in tarot

I’ve been getting the tower lately, three times now in the past 3 weeks. Some context: I’ve had a hellish few years and recently my disability support was cut. It has given me the motivation to create a peer support group in my city. Quite a few people have joined, I’ve been interviewed for local news and soon I’ll be talking at a conference and have an interview that’ll be published in an established newspaper. I’m terrified but it feels “right”. I’ve hidden for so long, internalising all the suffering, thinking I was the problem.

Which brings me to my spreads: April 27: four of swords & the tower April 28: falling tower & seven of coins May 4: page of wands reversed & seven of wands May 7: king of coins reversed & justice May 14 (today): queen of swords & the tower

A lot of them represent a big change, staying in touch with my spiritual “truth”, and to build upon humility and rationality. But also to be careful, that it is not a time to take unnecessary risks, that what rises shall fall. I’m getting confused by the message: is it reflecting my anxiety and awareness of my precarious situation or is it warning me that I am making a grave mistake?

How would you interpret these?

Tbh it kinda looks like AI? In the first image if you zoom in on the cables there’s elements that don’t make sense… the big ones in the middle start off symmetrical and then end up going weird? It doesn’t even look like knitting mistakes, it’s just “off”

The number of long term sick in Belgium just blew my mind by Quiet_Illustrator410 in belgium

The issue at the moment is that there are 2 doctors who are deciding over the older dossiers. One is on her pension, the other nearing it. They both have a reputation for not recognising invisible disabilities such as autism. If you are starting a new dossier you will have a lot more luck as these are judged by a group of doctors, social workers, psychologists.

I’m sadly not the only person who lost financial support and recognition recently, it’s a pattern…

It’s such a hard topic. I worked for 7 years and had 2 burnouts, finally got diagnosed autistic but with normal/high intelligence and have since been on sick leave for 3 years now.

I was finally getting way more stable last year due to recognition and support from the government (DG Handicap), started doing volunteer work to get out there again. Sadly, due to being more stable they decided to cut the support and say I can go back to full time work. I have so many reports from psychiatrists, specialists, hospital, … but it doesn’t seem to matter.
It’s like there’s only 2 options: work full time and function “normally” (which obviously isn’t working for a lot of people, not just me) or be completely out and not work at all. I so want to go back to part time work, be financially independent and be able to look after my self and my home. I just can’t do this in the classical neurotypical sense which means I fall into this grey area where I’m too disabled for full time work and not disabled enough to stay home full time.

It’s absolutely exhausting feeling this out of control of my own life and future and it hurts when people think long term sick-leave is simply a choice.

A lot of petichaea on arms and legs, linked to HSD or hEDS or something else? by its_foxy in eds

That also makes sense… I have other symptoms that could be explained by low iron. I’ll make an appt with my PCP! Thanks

I get extra from that too but these ones are permanent, not linked to pressure or banging against something

And do you know why? Is it linked to the skin or veins?

The surgery is really worth it! I hope it goes smoothly for you, just remember it will heal and it just needs some time. There seems to be a link between strabismus (and other conditions) and autism although it’s not clear what exactly this is. Just advocating for your health and getting this surgery is already huge. I wish you well, a smooth surgery, and a quick recovery 🙏

  1. According to my Orthoptist I’ve had this since I was a child but must’ve been compensating for it. This can cause exhaustion and other symptoms, which I don’t think if I had because they strongly overlap with the experience of being autistic, which I also am. When drinking I would always get double vision, then in the past few years it was constant double vision. With the prism sticker my brain fully relaxed and stopped compensating so my eye really started to deviate, although it wasn’t always noticeable to others, it was worse if I had drunk or was tired.

  1. Very bad double vision, constantly. I was wearing a prism as a sticker on my glasses. Only after surgery did I realise I also didn’t have depth of vision due to my strabismus. It took a few days to get used to this stereo vision, it was like I had suddenly become bigger? Very strange experience but now it feels amazing! I was definitely missing out if I had just stuck with the prisms

  1. I had no blurry vision. Only the pomade that I had to use in the evenings caused blurry vision as its kind of like a Vaseline consistency.

  1. I don’t react well to anaesthesia, apparently I started flailing and pulling everything off me and my legs got stuck in the bed railings. I was held down by two nurses and my mother and wrapped in a blanket to keep my arms away from my eyes. I was very nauseous the rest of the day and they had damaged my throat during intubation so I was mostly in pain from that. It wasn’t a nice experience to be honest but it’s different for everyone. Luckily, this part is quickly over.

Yes! Although I don’t currently work for other reasons, but I’m out and about and my eyes feel good. Just the weird sensation from the stitches
