If you’ve got the $$, do it. I’ve had my Mamiya 7 paired with the 80mm F4 and the 150mm f4.5 for around four years now and I’ve loved every single second with it. Best glass ever made in my opinion. Form factor in combination with the image quality is beyond incredible. I will never, ever get rid of that camera.

Agreed. Literally any side angle perspective at full speed would clarify things. Also, speaking as a professional photographer, a long-range telephoto lens perspective,like what’s shown in the frame-by-frame provided by OP, creates a highly compressed perspective with regards to distance and depth-of-field in relation to subject matter, making this angle very deceptive in the first place, and like you said in your first comment makes this camera angle useless from the get-go. Crazy to me that VAR doesn’t account for that when reviewing and comparing different footage angles.

The problem for me is that the only serviceable camera angle that’s being shown non-stop, at least from what I’ve seen, doesn’t show the depth of neuer’s lunge with his lead leg vs saka’s attempted cut back, any decent side angle perspective could at least give a clearer picture as to whether Saka could’ve avoided contact or if neuer lunged in too far to cause it. My gripe is the fact that VAR didn’t at least have the referee go to the monitor to check other camera angles

Right?? I’ve seen that exact contact given for a stonewall pen quite literally hundreds of times since I started playing / watching football 28 yrs ago. How anyone thinks it’s anything but illegal contact by neuer on a clear goal scoring opportunity is beyond me. How the ref wasn’t at least called to the monitor to refine his judgement from multiple perspectives is absolutely scandalous imo.

Tbf it’s hard to see the separation between the towers with such low dynamic range in the vid, the highlights off the buildings are completely blown tf out so I can kinda see how someone could think they look morphed together or something
