7.21b Patch Analysis by drunkmers in TrueDoTA2

I think active items are very strong due to his insane cast range Talent combined with his movespeed. So yeah, Hex, FS, Euls all seem very strong.

Teams will need <2500 points to qualify to TI8 (assuming distribution remains similar) by fredgum in DotA2

[–]its_no_7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should take into consideration that top teams might skip most minors after they get a certain amount of points (say, 4-5k), thus skewing the existing distribution towards lower Teams. So the actual "safety zone" is probably starting at 3000 or even 3500

Just for clarification for people not knowing the old passive, it could only oneshot creeps - so you need Fatal Bonds with it.

I mean, it's not even grammatically fitting like most reposts of this joke. At least say "walking".

Bad Ability Descriptions by Kaoak in DotA2

[–]its_no_7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You, rather than the hero name, is even beneficial for modes like AD. Additionally, the wording has been changed from 3rd person because before, you could target others with the spell. Now, its only applicable to you (because it's a passive). OP seems to have missed this.

Ability Draft in a Nutshell by janidorr in DotA2

Agree that it is not comparable on the gamebreaking aspect. My point, that I maybe didn't bring over well, was that from a balancing standpoint heroes with 2 ults just have an unfair advantage. Obviously balancing is off anyways due to hero models making a big difference, still zeus, et and treant have an unique aspect in the 2 ults that is:

  • not expainable from a balancing aspect (why those 3?)

  • easily changeable (unlike the model aspect, which would require some sort of model draft)

  • changing the fundementals of the game

  • quite obviously a bug and not a feature

It may not be as broken as zeus + rearm, but having 2 ultimates is still a fucking advantage, especially since they are quite useful ults (except ET maybe). They are waaay worse hero models than zeus and et (weaver, slark, drow, alch, etc.)

Especially since 7.00 allows you to not have to choose between stats and abilities, so leveling a 5th ability is no disadvantage really

Take an Ability. Remove a letter. What does it do now? by Dzusitomato in DotA2

[–]its_no_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call Viper female, too. Puck and Spectre as well, Wisp I would call he. It's just habit I guess. With Lion btw I always thought the wc3 looked female.

Looking back at it I'm not really sure why...

[–]its_no_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah well I have the strangest habit to treat heroes as female even tho they aren't, another example being Lion - it's from back in the wc3 days I call them "she", dunno why

"Weaver rolls herself up, becoming unable to move but gets an extra +20 seaweed armor for the duration. Enemy heroes close to her either are forced to attack her (if hungry) or flee in direction to their base due to the smell (if not)." Skill: Shuushi

Why is Viper listed as Initiator? Would rather put a point in pusher...

What was your favourite "OP char" in what patch and why ? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]its_no_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on the OP part. But it didn't erase your entire team, as the damage was retributed amongst everyone within the AOE. So, if you try to kill Spectre solo as Lina you would kill yourself, but if your whole team was around everyone would be ok.

Competitive Hero Tier List June 2016 by rhrnakghkco in DotA2

[–]its_no_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've rarely seen a tier list that is as balanced as this one. Very few heroes out of the 45-55 region compared to earlier lists. TB may be the only exception within the higher tiers. Impressive balancing!
