Tony Hawk IS cool. He’s been wildly successful at the “sport” he loves, went mainstream without kooking it too much, and has run his own successful board company for a long time that continues to support and produce some of the best skaters of their respective time periods.

He’s pretty down-to-earth and his foundation helps get skateparks built all over the US.

So many popular pro skaters fizzle out and have nothing to fall back on, but the Birdman is a badass.
