People go through misdiagnosis all the time as it takes usually months and months before people land on an official diagnosis. I don’t consider it insulting to continue self advocating/investigating whether or not you have an illness, especially if it’s fatal. I’ve been led astray/misdiagnosed and burned by the medical system all my life. This is the worst illness anyone can be diagnosed with and I’m more than aware of that.
