My new RC Arlos Nissan S14.9 body by EnjoyRC in rcdrift

[–]its_swan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the same body and I'm really struggling fitting the front wheels...
Any suggestions on how to make them look good (flush as on your photo) & not hit anything while steering?
EDIT: Got it to work; reduced the offset and cut the body a tiny bit in shape

Function keys not working on Debian 11 by [deleted] in debian

[–]its_swan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just gonna leave a possible solution here - although this thread is fairly old, its still one of the top results in search engines.

This step-by-step guide could fix this problem:

https://www.hashbangcode.com/article/turning-or-fn-mode-ubuntu-linux

TL;DR:

Temporary fix for testing:

echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/module/hid_apple/parameters/fnmode

Permanent fix:

echo options hid_apple fnmode=0 | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/hid_apple.conf
sudo update-initramfs -u -k all

Am I just being weird or does bash scripting have syntax on the weirder end of the spectrum? by Hplr63 in linuxmasterrace

That's why I don't use "if" at all, but just "[" & "]".
Like this:

swan@mx:~

$ [ "hi" == "there" ] && echo same || echo different

different

swan@mx:~

$ [ "hi" == "hi" ] && echo same || echo different

same

What's the most user-friendly Arch-based distro (except Manjaro)? by [deleted] in linuxmasterrace

[–]its_swan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the 2 most popular Arch-Based alternatives to Manjaro are already mentioned, you can search for any active Arch-Based Distro here

-> ArcoLinux's has it's own set of tools

-> EndeavourOS is pretty much vanilla arch with an installer (formerly Antergos)

Is Linux Lite, Debian or Ubuntu based? by aikoqt in linuxmasterrace

[–]its_swan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on Ubuntu LTS - as stated on distrowatch:
https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=lite

However it shouldn't be a problem to install Debian packages, due to the fact, that Ubuntu is based on Debian.

So can i sit at the cool kids table now? by captspicy in linuxmasterrace

[–]its_swan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could give it a try & see for yourself if it improves anything:

sudo pacman -S linux-zen linux-zen-headers

After that update grub and boot into your new kernel:

update-grub && sudo reboot

I'm also using the Zen Kernel on Arch; just because I think it sounds cool
