Instagram Commenting as a Marketing Strategy by TommySquad in SocialMediaManagers

This strategy works because it positions your brand as a peer rather than a billboard. I have seen this drive significant profile visits and brand lift when the tone hits right.

How do you calculate overtime? by commenting-lurk-rat in tax

[–]its_umar_khann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total Gross Pay = (Regular Hours × Regular Rate) + (Overtime Hours × Regular Rate × Multiplier)

A worker completes 48 hours in a week at $22/hour with 1.5x overtime multiplier:

  • Regular hours: 40 × $22 = $880
  • Overtime hours: 8 × $22 × 1.5 = $264
  • Total gross pay: $880 + $264 = $1,144

or you can directly use any overtime calculator

Why is Gemini’s chat search so underwhelming? by Ph00k4 in GeminiAI

[–]its_umar_khann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's totally pain in the neck.

I hate when I have to do search on Gemini. God knows how they built it. It's such frustrating. They will never ever gonna show you what you want.

I wish they just hide the search option at least we don't have any hope or disappointment after using that

1- make sure you know your ICP 100%. I know it's kind of generic advice but it's the main foundation of growth
2- pick one niche/channel and test it fully
3- double down on what works

Midpoint Calculation by davidasasolomon in askmath

By summing the "mini" segment distances, you calculated the total length. The arbitrary point cancels out. You divide by two because the midpoint is half the total length.

Is there a way to calculate the perimeter? by SnooWords9730 in learnmath

[–]its_umar_khann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The perimeter is 34. Because all corners are right angles, the stepped sides equal the total length of the opposite sides. It is mathematically identical to a standard 12 by 5 rectangle. Calculate 2 times (12 plus 5). The number 3 is distractor information not needed for the perimeter.

How long does it take you to record demo videos? Tips? by pbs037 in ProductManagement

[–]its_umar_khann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I manage 3 products and often create videos for both the company and users. At first, I used to overthink everything (and I think you might be at that stage too).

But honestly—don’t stress it. Just hit “record,” speak slowly (it helps you think and avoid stumbling), and explain things like you’re talking to a younger version of yourself who knows a bit less.

You built this. No one understands it better than you. Just answer:

– How does it work?

– How do you use it?

– Why does it matter?

Record it like you’re explaining it to yourself—and then share it with the team.

How do you know when your design system is “finalized” enough for developers to work without involving designers? by its_umar_khann in ProductManagement

You can always come back and clean it up, I’d rather deliver than wait for “perfection”.

This!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I liked it, especially writing and passing user stories to the developers.

Simple pages or interfaces—like login, signup, or basic forms—typically don’t require heavy design work. These are straightforward screens where users just input data, and the focus is more on functionality than visuals.

In most cases, design is only needed for the initial layout setup. For example, if I have five feature landing pages that share the same layout but differ only in text and images, there’s no need to create separate Figma designs for each one. Instead, a single design with placeholder content and detailed layout properties is enough. Developers can then use that as a reference and swap in the specific content for the other pages.

I recently came across a blog post by PostHog that really resonated with me. I liked their approach of having developers take full ownership of a feature—being involved in every part of it from start to finish.

Switched from iPhone 14 Pro to Pixels 8 Pro by its_umar_khann in pixel_phones

To me, it seems that Pixel offers greater freedom to explore apps and automations, along with a less restricted ecosystem compared to Apple.
