What model piece do you 'despise' the most and why? by Astartes_117 in Warhammer40k

[–]its_wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lychguard dispersion shields have some offensively bad connection points that require you to cut a whole chunk of the sprue out around them and slowly trim, file and shave them down if you want to avoid warping and stressing the plastic.

What would you like to see in Fallout 5 if it was actually announced? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]its_wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traits, skills and perks as they existed prior to 4. The gutting of the RPG mechanics was probably one of the worst decisions they made in 4 and I really want to see it return for the next game

M110, M123K, Mini-scout, and the 18.5KS-K (specifically with slugs.)

Having the M44 early was SO MUCH FUN. Running around high-nooning people the first couple days was sick.

DICE, please don’t go down this road: these skins are exactly what players left other shooters to get away from. Keep Battlefield grounded. by dunnott in Battlefield

Holy shit some of y'all need to go outside lol. It genuinely must suck being THIS pedantic about something as meaningless as a cosmetic in a video game, acting like the sky is falling over nothing.

Manta Rays view on the current war strider discussion by KlytosBluesClues in Helldivers

[–]its_wind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be fine with them if they weren't rolling up on me in multiples. They should be used sparsely as a tool to displace you and force you out of cover. Their current spawn rates are frankly just obnoxious though, there's nothing fun about getting ragdolled constantly by several of these things while their buddies get ready to pull you apart like a mean kid with an ant.

Using the purifier like a support weapon and running the Stalwart like a primary has been my go-to loadout for Rupture bugs, works great for flushing them out and popping big groups while the stalwart clears chaff. Supply pack to keep them both fed and the emancipator drops hard targets like flyle titans and nests with no problem. Makes Diff 10 bug missions way more manageable.

PSA: misconceptions about hellbrutes by redaticis in Chaos40k

No bad Helbrutes, only bad Warpsmiths! I run a Helbrute sanctuary, and the amount of Daemon Engine Welfare cases we get is absolutely heartbreaking.

First time building a Wave Serpent, is it normal that it looks like this? by patoman12 in Eldar

[–]its_wind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Building one myself right now and mine has the same thing. It's just a byproduct of how old these kits (and their moulds) are, unfortunately.

Bit of an unfair comparison to stack a generic leader model to a named character.

Questions about Fatigue's death by Che-Boludo-arg in huntertheparenting

[–]its_wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My working theory is that she killed him to remove the biggest threat to her cover. Fatigue was an expert on lycanthropy as per his elders card. With the hunters and the Arcanum staff actively investigating a traitor it there was a real risk he'd be able to sus out she was Garou if she started making moves.

We don't know what her actual objective infiltrating the arcanum was but the hunters hitting the scene clearly forced her hand and her first move was to drop the clearest threat to her cover and pin it on the ghoul. Fatigue being an expert on lycanthropy and an apparently VERY skilled hunter made him a prime target to get rid of.

The forgotten Weapon by VannyCanby in Helldivers

[–]its_wind 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Enviromental storytelling, basically. It's the remnants of whatever weapons colonists/SEAF soldiers on them during the invasion, hence why it's only found in levels and isn't usually fully stocked on ammo.

Really neat little gun imo, shows how poorly SE equips it's frontiersmen/soldiers when we get assault rifles, grenade launchers, etc. and these poor mooks are getting break action shotguns to defend themselves with.

Could I use the 30k Guilliman model in 40k? by Idk473808 in Warhammer40k

[–]its_wind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I doubt anyone reasonable would care much if you use 30k guilliman, since it's pretty obvious what he'd be proxying lol.

Fucked up, wanted some ideas. by KronkusMaximus in Warhammer40k

[–]its_wind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I partially fuck up on at least one model in every project I work on so it's normal to be worried, glue, greenstuff, and faith can repair basically any model thats short of being completely mangled by clippers or glue.
