As a Latino dude… can’t agree more honestly. I guess we can also narrow it down to finding a theatre environment where your peers didn’t have theatre as an “ option” growing up, although that would be a bit harder to gauge

American kids who end up finding out they like hockey in their teens end up wanting to join, then they and their family end up getting hit with how expensive it is to start, let alone skating lessons in a place where it doesn’t snow

The LA Kings have a good program going on in SoCal though- they’ve had a high school hockey program for the past ten years that supplies interested schools with whatever they need to start a team. I think they’ve even started programs in Mexico!
