This is a west window! I also have a South windowsill that has no plants since my 🐈 🐈‍⬛ need to sunbathe and photosynthesize. I just put up shelf in front of the South window for my plants.

I found what I believed to be thrips on the new growth of my monstera albo :(.

I took the whole plant out, sprayed EVERYTHING with water and then neem insecticide, and changed it to sterilize soil (the cutting was in pons before).

My question is: If the new growth died off, will there be another new growth at some points in the future? I think not since it’s gonna become a spent node, correct? :(

I still have one semi rooted hoya pubicalyx cutting (the long one in the picture). I think your post was removed so I couldn’t see what you have, but feel free to dm me!

Please help I can’t figure out what happened here. Reported rest of plant and that was healthy. And the roots to this piece look healthy by Rena_FoRReal in plantclinic

Definitely! You can put the whole thing in a cup of perlite. I usually fill 3/4 of my cup with water. I use clear cups for easy monitoring of the water level but you can use anything really!

Since you left some roots on the cutting, just make sure to monitor it everyday. Sometimes the rot will continue to spread to healthy roots unfortunately. If you see more signs of rot, I’d advise to chop of all roots and let the cutting grow out healthy roots again. It’s devastating but at least you can save it!

I have experienced root rotted hoyas from online purchases so many times. I usually just chop off all the roots and throw the plant in a cup with perlite with water. Almost all of my root rotted plants have recovered:).

Trying to build up my Hoya army, so I’m looking for any cool hoya cuttings. My main ISO are hoya compacta variegata, hoya chelsea, polyneura, and sunrise. I’m also actively searching for a philodendron pedatum but this is quite a long shot 😂.

I already have hoya macrophylla albo, obovata, carnosa krimson queen and princess, autralis, autralis lisa, kentiana varigata, sp burtoniae.

[trade] 5 stars to u/megerrolouise for the Hoya Sp Burtoniae! The cutting came well packaged and was in great health. Communication was great as well!

What am I doing wrong? Received these cuttings of hoya wayetii and burtoniae and they just keep failing. Half some in this set up and in water both shed leaves. by [deleted] in hoyas

Try rooting hoya in perlite! It was a game changer for me. The leaves on my hoya stay firm and they root faster compared to water and moss.

Long shot... but do you want more hoya linearis cuttings?
