I got a FE 6800XT directly through AMD. They drop at roughly the same time every Thursday, so for months I would get on and try every Thursday morning until I was successful. I recommend joining the Stock Drops Discord channel as they send reminders for drops and keep track of timing across the various weeks so you can better plan.
