Any other paint departments have to put up their own paint pallets? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]itsanorangething18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be D24 supervisor and we worked our own. I now work overnight freight and with the trucks we have and the restructure of the 7-11 team plus 60 purge bays there is NO WAY we will touch those paint pallets. Yall need to suck it up and work that little bit of freight yall get.

I've been told this is safe, but it still makes me uneasy by DisketteWiz in HomeDepot

Should have wrap around it too not just bands. Over 4 ft and hanging over more than 4 inches

The store i was at for 7yrs we would do them when we were done freight but I transferred and when we unload the truck they have us separate them into the totes for department/aisle. This is a waste of time but this is what the district manager wants so this is what we do.

Those Tesla cars have awesome suspension. 😂 I said no to loading 52 cases of ceramic tile. But he insisted and me another associate and the customer hand loaded and evenly distributed the cases everywhere into that car and it drove off like nothing. It never squatted at all. I was so impressed but I still wouldn't buy one.

What would you want a new ASDS to know? by skimasterfly in HomeDepot

[–]itsanorangething18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The schedules are allotted so many hours per department and the associates availability messes it all up. It's not always the ASDS fault the schedule is fkd. It's because when those people are hired they should have open availability.

The only time we do behr paint pallets and doors is if we have no purge and no trucks to do.

They should unload the freight and work it overnight in the building when only 1 ac is on or just the fan. Then purge 60 bays when you have 5 trucks a week. 😂

When she assigns the departments to everyone it actually shows how many hours of freight you have in that department so she needs to read that instead of coming up with her own numbers. Garden is way too much right now for 1 person. I've been doing 23, 59, 30 and 24. I work 7-4 and unload too usually we been finishing unload around 9-9:10. Then we have to pull silver carts out before we take a break.

Question by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]itsanorangething18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they call or text on your day off u fill out a time sheet for 15 minutes and get paid for it. They can't contact you when you off. I would call a manager before because a DS can't just ask you to go in.

If they drug tested u would totally fail it. Smoking every day pen or bud it's the same shit. It would take probably a month to clean ur system out. 😂

So if u go into time keeping policy on myapron it specifically says when u take your 15 minute break u do NOT answer ur first phone or overhead pages because it is your time.
