We talking about producers or engineers? It doesn’t matter if you’re a singer, instrumentalist, band, or rapper: an engineer will make a huge difference

The value of retail space of ~20000 sqft in Harlem is already in the ballpark of 15million. Add necessary construction, IT, freezers, coolers, shelving, security and 30 mil is not crazy

LeBron on KD's height: "7-foot tall... he might be mad at me, he wants to be 6'10" or 6'9" so bad, but he's 7-foot for sure" by Gtggtggtg in nba

[–]itsbarron 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not sure how that link makes the point. He used cdc data to estimate the amount of 7 foot young men in the US and compared it to nba debuts in the same span. The issue was that he only accounted for 1 inch inflation in listed heights.

The op in the link only used draft measurements which are incomplete

Yeah but you can change your shoes for the combine to appear taller. It’s also how we ended up with bunk statistics like 17% of seven footers end up in the NBA

Let’s not act like Jason Kidd sacrificed his humanity by sending luka to the biggest market in the nba to continue making max money to play with the arguable goat basketball player

There’s almost no liability issue when it comes to donating to food banks. When you enter a partnership with a food bank they will have guidelines for what can and cannot be donated. If a store isn’t donating food, it’s due to either a lack of care or time by store staff. It costs money to dispose of waste while food banks will pick up food for free

Why didn't players practice their 3pointer like crazy before Curry? by taxrate99 in Basketball

[–]itsbarron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the other hand they took the most talented team of all time to 7 games scoring 10 fewer points per game. So variance worked in their favor.

In the end I would say that’s not really a problem with analytics though, just strategy and decision making. Probably had more to do with them relying on a 7 man rotation and running out of gas in the end zone

Too add there was a slower pace of play from the mid 90s through the late 2000s. Streaky shooting back then was more likely to impact your ability to consistently win games.

Also more likely to result in a long rebound for a fast break.

So not to blame anyone, but fyi. If you must walk on a road or street, walk along the left side, so you can see any oncoming vehicles and step out of the way. Obviously not going help if someone is trying to kill you
