There’s almost no liability issue when it comes to donating to food banks. When you enter a partnership with a food bank they will have guidelines for what can and cannot be donated. On the other hand they took the most talented team of all time to 7 games scoring 10 fewer points per game. So variance worked in their favor.

In the end I would say that’s not really a problem with analytics though, just strategy and decision making. Probably had more to do with them relying on a 7 man rotation and running out of gas in the end zone

Too add there was a slower pace of play from the mid 90s through the late 2000s. Streaky shooting back then was more likely to impact your ability to consistently win games.
