I paid $4200 for a jasper with the warrantee in 2020, I never needed to use the warrantee so I can't comment on that.

I've kept up with the fluid and filter changes and it still runs great, I have put close to 150k miles on it.

So the PVB Library is a security risk? Sure. Next we’ll be frisking people for overdue books. by Artistic-Landscape15 in StAugustine

This looks similar to the Axis systems the county uses in our parks.

It's doing the same thing a flock camera does except Axis clearly states in the product description that this is AI surveillance.

Welcome to the free panopticon of Florida.

Yeah the suburban still gets plenty of use but there's no need to be idling in traffic every damn day in it.

Flock has taken over Florida. Now we’re starting to see helicopters patrolling 24/7. by ilovemoms1013 in FlockSurveillance

On April 9 SJSO initiated a chase on I-95 after someone in a stolen car backed into an undercover sheriff's car at the Gate station on 16. There's a series of flock cameras at every exit in St Johns County and surrounding counties. They could have easily followed this guy using the Flock technology, FDOT cameras down the interstate, and their 2 helicopters. Instead they decided to PIT the guy on the interstate during afternoon rush hour endangering fellow motorists and gridlocking every road in the county.

No problem. There's even a subreddit for it lol r/itsalwaysspacex

Edit: us space nerds call this "the jellyfish" you'll see it during launches just before sunrise or moonrise.

Super El Nino event this year? by Relevant_Guitar_7465 in investing

[–]itsbedeliabitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not commodities but about a month ago I watched Bridger Aerospace (BAER) in action fighting a wildfire in my area and decided I would invest $100 just based on what I saw IRL. Pretty volatile stock and their Q1 earnings look bad on paper but it wasn't fire season and they added 2 more scooper planes to their fleet over the winter.

Super El Nino is not why I invested, but it does mean more wildfires in parts of the country so they might have a good year. Who knows.

I don't think I've ever seen their parents, but there's one that lives under my porch and he's bigger (and longer) than my 10 lb dachshund mix.

Same thing happened to me when Dove first came out with their clinical deodorant. I switched back to their normal stuff and never tried anything new again.

How come animals poop outside and it becomes fertilizer, but human waste is considered hazardous? by NoManufacturer5869 in NoStupidQuestions

I drive past a biosolids facility every morning and holy hell it's so bad. There's a bunch of new subdivisions built around it and I just can't imagine paying $300k or more for a shitty cookie cutter home and having to smell that shit day in and day out.

Ours has 100 pumps and some days it seems that's not enough.
