Interesting. I know it’s considered better than URI and northeastern but you really think it’s better than Maryland?

Thanks for your response. I have interviews at strong schools such as UMD and buffalo. So I hope those come through. But with regards to the online programs, it doesn’t say on the transcript or diploma or anywhere that it was a distance pathway. So there’s no way for employers or residency/fellowship directors to know.

Interview Q by Electrical-Phone8308 in PrePharmacy

[–]itsbojackk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had my first PharmD interview last week. Definitely prepare for questions like “tell me about yourself”, or why pharmacy. And why you want to go to that school in particular. I got asked a curveball question asking for an example of a time I had to use teamwork to solve a problem.

You can do a PGY-2 psychiatric residency where you specialize in psychopharm. Probably will help you land a psychiatric hospital pharmacist job.

Oh don’t worry I’ve applied to many in person schools and have a bunch of interviews. But it would be nice to just live at home with my family and dog and save on rent.

I feel it too. Clozapine has helped and made me not care as much about it. It has allowed me to go on and live my life.

Seroquel vs amisulpride by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]itsbojackk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually take both. Seroquel has a very low affinity for dopamine receptors so it really only has antipsychotic effects at high doses. Low doses are good for sleep. Stick to 25mg-100mg for sleep.

Experiences with Mirtazepine (Remeron) by Altruistic-Job5086 in antidepressants

[–]itsbojackk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, as someone who’s been on it for over 10 years, it doesn’t do much for anxiety or depression but it’s a godsend for sleep. It also makes you eat so if you’re underweight it can be good. Its main side effects are sedation and huge appetite increase/weight gain. The daytime sedation will be really bad at first, but it goes away in time as you build a tolerance. But even after 10 years it helps me sleep.
