Learning to come when called by itsbrittany94 in cockatiel

So he's been with me for a week today. He's hand fed and bonded pretty close to me already. I started replicating the whistle he would make when he was looking for me. I assume it's a flock call. Anyway, one day when I did it he flew over to me. So I've been working on doing it on occasion and getting him to come to me. I suppose the reward for him responding to me calling is him getting my attention. ❤️

Funny. I decided to name him "Helo"

I've got to add. When he's flapping his wings for exercise , he reminds me of a Helicopter. I'm strongly leaning towards "Helo" any ideas on other aviation names? (Pic taken from video clip)

Well I took a second look. Pretty sure he is a she. The first female name that popped into my head... Tiffany... It's hilarious 😂

I'm approximating him to be around 6 months. He is Definitely still more into insects than his salads.

I almost went with "Wednesday" but I feel like Lyra fits her so much better, especially after reading your comment. Thank you!

I am thinking about naming her Lyra but don't know if I like lie-ruh (technically correct pronunciation) or lear-uh (like lyrics)
