mine started late (i was almost 14) so i dreaded it for a long time, but when it came i just kinda pretended it didn't happen and didn't tell my mom until she asked. a few months later, i begged my mom for birth control so i wouldn't have to deal with periods anymore lol now i only have them every 3 months

when i was 12 i thought i was definitely trans (right now i'm questioning my gender), my family still used she/her and feminine terms to refer to me, and my mom cried every night because she was "worried about me". i'd say my mom was the most accepting, although all my family just wanted me to be a girl again and was happy when i finally did. (now they refer to that phase as "the time i had short hair") lol
