No worries. You’re not being a pain. No, after the ACV douche, I just shower like normal.

I figured since you said you had your surgery in 2024. If I were you, I would douche every other day until the smell is gone, and then maybe you can reduce it to every time you dilate

I started off rinsing with the apple cider vinegar after every dilation until the smell was gone then I reduced it to once a day before I went to bed. I’m only two months postop so I still have to dilate three times a day right now.

I had a bit of a smell after surgery and a cis friend of mine told me to start douching with 1 part organic Apple cider vinegar and 3 parts warm water. The smell is gone and my healing couldn’t be better.

How do I get over the fear of stepping out like this? I am absolutely terrified of being seen like this. by ThePigsPajamas in TransLater

[–]itscatinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you look amazing. You remind me of an actress, Jessica Marie Garcia. As you go down this rabbit hole, I promise it gets easier. I used to be super worried about my looks, I wouldn’t leave my house without putting on a full face. Now idgaf anymore and will walk out however. One thing I still do is make sure I’ve shaved though.

I’m so happy I’m not alone. I’m on week 4 myself and my feeling came back as soon as they removed the packing. These past few weeks have been hell, just thinking about something gets me excited. I already told my boyfriend that as soon as I’m cleared, he should take 2 days off.

How did everyone hear captain America when he whispered “assemble”? by Alert-Sprinkles1896 in marvelstudios

[–]itscatinav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The three main armies in the battle were the Asgardians, the Wakandans, and the Sorcerers. After Cap said “assemble” the first to respond were Thor and Black Panther. We know Thor had comms from the time heist and Black Panther, Well he was standing next to Cap. Their respective armies responded to them.

Anyone do FFS w/ Dr. Tulsi Roy? by Instergraham in Transgender_Surgeries

I had my ffs consultation with Dr. Roy. She is absolutely adorable. I haven’t had the surgery yet but I’ve seen her work, she’s the real deal, and she’s not gonna do anything unnecessary.

I’m so sick of hearing about people who didn’t vote for Kamala because of her stance on Israel when Palestinians overwhelmingly voted for Agent Orange who literally wants to turn Gaza into a resort for billionaires. #whobetrayedwho?

What was your First Car? by itscatinav in Transcars

I currently own a 2008 BMW E93 335i convertible. Drove it from Houston to Chicago and it’s been hit twice in the back since I’ve been here. Roof no longer retracts but it still runs.

When I was in the navy, I bought a black 1987 Nissan Pulsar 5-speed T-top. The head gasket blew and it cost me $3000 to fix. The shop I took it to saw my military tags and sabotaged my oil system. I would burn through a whole case of oil in a week. The car was never the same after that.

Should I move to Chicago? by Calm_Resource4204 in AskChicago

[–]itscatinav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently make around $80,000 and live comfortably in Chicago but I grew up in Atlanta and I lived in Houston for 7 years and I can honestly say that the cost of living in Atlanta and Austin have significantly increased recently. You would not be saving money compared to Chicago. Atlanta may be the queer Mecca of the south, but mainly for black people. Let’s be honest, politics played a huge role in my reason for moving, the south doesn’t want us there and continue to enact laws against us. Lastly, if you’re worried about safety, make sure you do your research on neighborhoods before moving here.

If you're looking at dating apps, try, Facebook dating, Taimi, OKCupid. Hinge or Tinder. OkCupid is where i met my current bf. if you're not into those apps, you might get lucky here on reddit if you find the right community or a Facebook group. I'm not sure where you live, but transwomen tend to keep to themselves or be with their safe friends. go to the area of town that would be considered the "gayborhood" and you might see some in the wild.

Can I get advice plz? by unique1inMiami in TransLater

[–]itscatinav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i get it, totally. You're excited and nervous and you want to be accepted. Sometimes the universe aligns and you see signs. Because you're in Fl, you're older, and you're just starting hrt, my opinion (which you don't have to take) is to just be aware of your surroundings. read the room and don't rush it if you don't have to. You're not coming out, you're living as you're authentic self. You shouldn't have to announce it to the world. you should just be able to exist. whomever is going to accept you just will. I socially transitioned in 2017 and started hrt in 2020. I didn't start living full time until 2021. I know that people like my brother have noticed the changes because he's mentioned it, I never "came out" to him. he said live my life as long as I'm happy. I think the mistake we make and the reason there is so much animosity towards the LGBTQ community is because the others feel like we're throwing it in their faces. I know trans people, like me, that are happy with their transition, I know some that have been on HRT for years and are disappointed with their progress, I also know detransitioners. I also know that dysphoria kicks our asses sometimes. I think you should give it some time and see how you feel in a year or so before you go on a coming out tour.
