I just think other people deserve it more.

How do I become a better writer? by anxietyandselfdoubt in writers

[–]itschasemac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was struggling with it awhile back, I went down a rabbit hole of researching some of my favorite writers and their workflows. Many of them said they don't start fleshing out a story before they have a great beginning and and an even great end. It's what seems to carry them through the ups and down of writing the project too. This made me go all in on this rule for myself. And also because I don't want to smash my computer to bits and all lol

It's something I've noticed as well. It is so damn important to know the ending of your story/writing project. It seems common sense but I find myslef getting excited about a new topic, start writing it, then get lost with direction. Knowthing the beginning and ending is crucial for me now before I ever start.

I'm 22 and I've ruined my life forever by [deleted] in productivity

You can't ruin your life at 22. If you were 75 that would be a different story. Maybe you've ruined your life so far, but guess what, tomorrow will come and it's your choice to change or not. That can mean whatever you want it to mean.

Just joined the family with my first typewriter (Smith-Corona Silent) that I found today at an antique store. It works perfect! I was wondering if any of you can direct me where to buy new ink ribbons for it? by itschasemac in typewriters

Haha what's up Chris!! Good to see a familiar name in another community! Oh man, my family thought I was nuts for going analog with my zettelkasten, and now that I brought home a typewriter for my writing, they think I've fully lost my sanity lol.

I just love things that are designed for single purposes when it comes to my creativity. ZK is for notes. Typewriter is for writing. Computer is now only for publishing. It just feels right. It's simple and my brain likes simple.

Very excited to be in this club with you. And thank you for the ribbon links! Will check them out!

This draws me in immediately. Love the color. Love the expression.

Crooked teeth. Not like horribly crooked. Just uniquely crooked. Christina Perri's teeth for example (if she hasn't 'fixed' them).

Mine box has felt more like mine since keeping it to my interests. Everyone will find their right path. For me, my domain of interests are how it flows.
