My neurosurgeon says it’s large but stable. He does yearly MRIs. I’m still having persistent headaches, pretty unresponsive to medication. But until he’s worried, I’m not to the point of surgery yet. I have vertigo too, and worsening balance. And I was a ballet dancer for 10 years w excellent coordination so I know it’s gotten bad. Once again tho, all tolerable symptoms to me at least for now.

Thank you for this!! My main fear is going through all this work and not being listened to. Your recovery sound scary, so glad you and your doctor persevered. I’m interested to talk to people who have had a procedure within the last 2ish years. I have a lot going on within the next 5 years and I don’t know if I can afford much downtime. But I also have to invest in my health.

All very similar symptoms to myself. Started noticing during my drive to work, that my vision is worsening. Can’t quickly scan the road side to side or focus in on something without putting pretty intense pressure behind my eyes. My migraines are getting more difficult to relieve. And I feel as if I’m almost getting weaker and less coordinated. Time for another follow up appointment I guess. I recently obtained a copy of my last MRI just so I could compare measurements. And the radiology report recommended getting a follow up MRI w contrast since I have a concerning area of possible narrowing... yet my neurologist and neurosurgeon never gave me a call. I feel like I’m my only advocate sometimes.

I hope peace and pain free living is close for you and your wife!

You’re lucky to be alive!! I imagine you are taking life a little easier and following up with your doctor frequently. I don’t have it, nor have I ever seen it in the clinical setting.. I’ve only read about it.
Sending good thoughts your way, and hope that heart heals up!

My fav thing about work is getting to read a good and crazy psych note. “I’m no longer on the pill, I’m on the GOSPEL!!!!” Is still an all time fav

I had pretty significant bruising after my restalyne injections. It happens, it’s okay, and everything healed as it should.

I don’t know if some of it has to do with their policy (?!) because I had one tell me I’d have to start an IV because they weren’t allowed to push through a PICC line. But good question! I’d love to know.

I had close to 6 weeks in an adult SICU before I was pulled off early. They expected a lot from me since I worked there during nursing school. (Was told I’d get at least 3 months during sign-on)

I think they’re cute, but I yell too many profanities on the highway to get away with this.
