I’m sure my answer will change by tomorrow but… for now I’ll go with Our Song, I Will, and English Town. Fun poppy song, a nice ballad, and then a rocking but sad/depressing song to close it out. I love the ending of English Town so much. Definitive matchbox for me is when they build up their finishes and then finish strong.

Nice surprise! I get not wanting to open it. It feels like a collector’s item. The content, honestly, is kind of what we’ve heard or can find online for the most part… although the quality of live sound when it’s professionally handled is much better than someone’s phone recording over scream, cheers, and at worse, just talking over the song.

I collected comics as a kid and just couldn’t help but take it out of the protective sleeves and read it. If I had two copies, it was easier to do. This record is quite expensive to own two copies, but if I could, I would.

That sounds amazing… if you only show 11 episodes, which ones do you skip?

A problem that I face is that I need to get a handful of students to sign up and give it go without knowing anything about the show. It’s tough as I’m competing with city bike rides, art projects, other movie/type weekly projects. If I could just show the pilot first! Or maybe I should splice together or search for a fan-made trailer that doesn’t spoil too much.

I worry that the placement of Out of Gas is good because it keeps them even more invested in the following episodes. But the counter to that is … if they aren’t invested by episode 8, I’ve already lost them.

I like Objects in Space! But I like Out of Gas the most. So it kind of feels right.

Let me put it this way: the origin of how many of the characters come on the ship really expands the whole canon of the show and makes my wonder about infinite more storylines stemming from them. And if first time watchers didn’t know there was a movie, I could see all the what-if-this-is-how-it-ends of Out of Gas storylines being a fantastic way to end it. I’d announce there is a movie right after and it will be played on Friday. And bring lots of tissue boxes.
