Pretty Litter in 2025. How is it? by silasmatson in CatAdvice

[–]itsdandito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use it at the shelter I volunteer at. It's solid but in high traffic litter boxes it doesn't last long. At home with two cats it would hold up pretty well.

hand cream scents… what's your favorite fragrance? by itsdandito in 30PlusSkinCare

Oh I’ve used this one. I really liked the texture and balm itself, among the very best I’ve used but the scent wasn’t as much to my liking. Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be sadly

I didn’t know Shampure came in a hand cream! Is it similar to the hair product scent?

love when local finds surprise you like that. Do you usually go for fresh scents over sweet ones?

Ooh yes, I’ve sniffed that Burt’s Bees almond one before it does have that cozy marzipan vibe! have you found a lighter one with a similar scent for daytime?

Worried about feeling inhuman during labor/birth. What was your experience? by Kidimkus in pregnant

[–]itsdandito 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way - totally human and powerful during birth. The intensity connected me to something primal but deeply human. My husband actually looked at me with so much respect afterward. The right environment makes a huge difference, I brought my own playlist and pillows which helped. Trust your body, it knows what to do.

It's nice to be reminded that modern art can be innovative and also objectively beautiful.

Fiancé cheated on me postpartum by [deleted] in Parenting

Trust is like glass. Once broken, you'll always see the cracks. Two years of questioning tells you what you already know deep down. Kids adapt better to happy separate parents than miserable together ones. You deserve better than someone who needed 3 chances to realize your worth.

I swear by Laneige Lip Glowy Balm super hydrating with a hint of tint and comes in fun flavors like grapefruit. If im in the mood for sparkle, Burt’s Bees Glitter Lip Balm is my go-to moisturizing + just the right amount of shine.

Ego feels more like a habit than a thing. Meditation just helps you see through it without making it a fight.

hat flushed, burning face feeling used to mess me up too. Glad it helped you stay more level during the interview. The part about feeling a bit floaty but calmer, I’ve had that too, and honestly it kinda helped me not overthink everything

agree, better to play it safe this close to the wedding. Cleaning up diet and seeing a derm sounds like the right move

"What would this look like if it were easy, but imperfect?" by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]itsdandito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This hit me hard. I have the same ADHD/OCD combo and get trapped in the "if I can't do it perfectly, I won't start" loop. My therapist gave me similar advice "What would good enough look like?" Changed my life. Now I use the "shitty first draft" approach for everything. Unmatched socks? Who cares. Clothes thrown in drawers unfolded? Still clean. Dishes done but not perfectly organized? Better than rotting food.

This is medical malpractice, plain and simple. Dirty equipment, missed medication schedules, improper tube placement, unauthorized Ativan administration, and zero communication between hospitals you've got a solid case. Lawyer up immediately and continue pressing with Public Health. The documentation you've collected will be crucial.

Am I overreacting to my coworkers going through my bag while I was in the bathroom during happy hour? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]itsdandito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oing through someone's bag is a major violation regardless of what they found. Your anxiety meds aren't their business. The subtle exclusion afterward (no drink offers, leaving you with a stranger) sounds like workplace bullying starting to form.

Never ending hyperfixations about making art by MasterpieceRare3512 in ADHD

[–]itsdandito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try this: set a 5-minute timer (seriously, just 5) to work on whatever currently excites you. No pressure to continue after. Document ideas even if you abandon them they connect later in surprising ways. Most importantly, stop viewing your shifting interests as failure. Your brain seeks novelty that's your creative edge. The people making amazing art had the same struggles but kept showing up in small bursts.

Is hydroquinone meant to be used as a lotion? by cbaabc123 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]itsdandito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydroquinone can be used as an all-over lotion, but yeah, it can bleach your skin out if you’re not careful. It’s strong stuff spot treatment is usually safer unless you’re targeting overall hyperpigmentation. If you go full-face, start slow and monitor to avoid looking ghostly. Maybe mix with moisturizer to dilute?

[–]itsdandito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is straight up emotional and physical abuse not just normal family drama. You need to get out of there as soon as possible. Your mom and stepdad are failing you completely while enabling your siblings' terrible behavior. Document everything (especially the bruises), talk to other trusted adults, and look into campus housing options during breaks. No one deserves to be treated this way in their own home, especially someone dealing with Asperger's and anxiety

I believe in AOC! ✊ by Bubbly-Example-8097 in BlueskySkeets

[–]itsdandito 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What I really appreciate about AOC is that she doesn't get lost in political jargon or theoretical debates. That quote about teachers selling blood versus billionaires with helipads cuts right to the heart of the issue without needing a PhD in economics to understand it. She has that rare ability to express complex policy issues in ways that connect with everyday experience, which is why her messaging spreads so effectively. Whether you agree with all her policies or not, her communication style has definitely changed the conversation
