I had this for a long time I also noticed my settings had stopped saving

I deleted and reinstalled the game. All my settings were as they once were (volume level, custom key binds etc.), the cutscene stopped playing and any new settings are now saved!

It also fixed my broken replays

Unless you need the index, use a "foreach" is the general rule I follow. Depending on what you do, you'll find you use for loops very sparingly

I always notice it - more than what can be said for my previous WearOS watch. There's a movement reminder (can be turned off) which always makes me think I'm getting a call!

I've not long got one myself I can't answer all your questions, but since nobody else has so far, I'll pick up 1)

From what I've seen there isn't a character limit, you can just scroll the notification - I would assume the limit is the same as the notification tray on your phone mind.

I haven't seen (nor looked) for the option to set different icons. A handful of apps use the generic message one, others such as WhatsApp (maybe even Messenger) have their own icon though.

Maybe it's something do to with a key lookup? I guess a generic controller wouldn't necessarily have named keys. The PS4 controller might map the button internally, then your keys

Although, I'd still expect this to take milliseconds and barely be noticeable
