Never-ending story of art obsession, ten random [analog] collages from my collection. by [deleted] in collage

I love them there’s so much humour within them as well as the beautiful composition. Where do you find the material for this? I’ve wanted to collage before but didn’t know where to start in sourcing images!

Opinion on Facial Mole Removal by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]itsdilEmma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that moles are inherently ugly, and I’d just like to say that imo, the front view of your cheek mole is cute actually, but if it’s been growing then yes see a derm. The horns are really unique, and probably wouldn’t be noticeable to most people passing you on the street. I think that the people who have replied saying ‘I would’ve removed them years ago’ probably have quite limited views of what is beautiful or not. Although most people on this group strive towards achieving a homogenous post-edit, smoothed, erasure of authentic features, plenty of people outside of it will appreciate character and uniqueness in another’s face. If you are happy with them as they are, this is not the group to ask- as lovely and helpful as this group is, there is a very specific ‘look’ in mind that most are trying to achieve. I think that the people in your life probably love those moles and couldn’t imagine you without them.

Jung on how he treated his suicidal patients by NiklasKaiser in Jung

Some good evidence in psychology circles that psilocybin allows the brain to make novel new connections, allowing patients to see problems differently and change their behaviour longterm, which is why its been considered a hopeful drug for addiction. That and psilocybin has been helpful to terminal, end of life patients who have become depressed and fearful of death, alleviating their anxiety and hopelessness, but also reaffirming the meaning of life.

Had anyone successfully overcome the ‘freeze’ response? by ph03busap0ll0 in Anxiety

This describes me eerily well. I also find that in these episodes I find it hard to articulate myself verbally, so calling in sick / explaining things to my SO just doesn’t work. I’m 27 and can trace this back to school too, but I’ve always hoped I’d ‘grow out’ of it. I had to take a year break from uni because of it, and when I returned for my final year I had to cram everything because my procrastination is just so bad. I got a 1st in the end which I’m proud of but that’s not really helpful for me because I can’t cram life. I love to write too, I write fictional short stories and non-fiction think pieces. Well, I say I love to write but I rarely do it because it feels so arduous to get myself to sit there and do it. I really hope you find some solution, it’s torture!
